We sat with this for a while before writing anything.

Some of the ideas raised in this interview felt deeply personal, as well as professionally important. We took time to reflect carefully before writing our response, because discussions about who is recognised as autistic, whose needs are taken seriously, and what support is considered legitimate have very real consequences.
