Within Yogaland, we are extremely good at interpreting texts and principles in absolute and rigid ways. These approaches are often in line with dogmatic teachers and lineages that hold no accountabiliy of problematic behaviours and/or recognition of need for change. At Centred Space, we are more interested in the softening of edges, the multiple truths that can exist in any given moment, the being human in a messy world, and trying to follow a yogic path amidst it all. š

Anyone feeling frazzled by the * immediate * replacement of Christmas paraphernalia with Lunar New Year music, food and decorations in the shops and supermarkets?
Like we said, weāre starting this year softly and with intention. Join for our first 2-hour Restorative Yoga special of 2026: an unhurried afternoon dedicated to quietude and rest.
More time means:
- weāre in no rush to check-in and can tailor the experience to everyoneās needs
- we can explore shapes that require more complex set-ups and have plenty of time to experience said shapes
- our bodies and minds have a more sumptuous opportunity to let the practice land and settle
Resist the chaos and urgency. Invite comfort and ease. Two spaces available, book via the link in our bio. š

Weāre only a couple of weeks into 2026 and already we feel a sense of urgency in the air. As our feeds and inboxes become filled with strict targets, goal-orented jargon and false promises, we invite you to pause and remember your Why.
Amidst the January messages fueled with the need for newness and change, we are still shedding - the Year of the Snake is not yet over...š

Weāve been in no rush to talk about the last training, which was immediately followed by full working commitments and travel. Rather than force ourselves to speak about how it landed for us in a ātimely mannerā, we leaned into our own work and allowed thoughts and reflections to bubble up, as and when our headspaces allowed.
Gratitude to our November cohort and the beautiful space in which we were able to gather. Thank you for showing up, for sharing, and for your hope that our communities can move together in more nourishing ways. š

When it comes to applying a trauma aware lens to oneās offerings, and decolonising oneās practice, they are not flip switches we can simply control and turn on. The more we learn, the more we open our eyes, the harder āthe workā becomes.
It is of no use to us if we spend our time berating ourselves; with our new understandings, we must explore how we can move forward and do better, and we must do so with compassion.
There is one more spot left on our upcoming Trauma Awareness & Decolonisation training - will you be joining us? š

I consider myself incredibly lucky to be doing work that makes my heart stir.ā¤ļø
Incredible things happen when people curious about birth gather. Thereās an energy in the room that feels alive -a shared pulse of wonder, humility, and awe. I live in the questions that people bring. Itās where I find my sustenance.
Whether itās first-time, anxious parents in a Birth Preparation class asking, āHow long is labour usually?ā(spoiler alert: we never really know) or Pilates teachers and physiotherapists wanting to understand breech positions and how to support their clients through what, here in Singapore, is often labelled as a āmalpositionā - these questions are never just about information.
They are invitations into deeper understanding. And this is practice that we need to hone over time.
In this time, I have come to realise thereās as much wisdom in the asking as there is in the answering. Every question reflects a story, a hope, a fear, or a moment of wanting to bridge the known and the mysterious. Where I can offer clear answers, I do - but more often, what feels important is to hold space for uncertainty. To be okay with never knowing fully. To find comfort in the not-knowing. And sometimes, to simply say, āI donāt know.ā
Thatās where the humbling lies.ļæ½Because birth is humbling.ļæ½Itās vast and unpredictable, ordinary and sacred all at once.
And every time I teach - whether in an intensive training or childbirth education class - Iām reminded that the physiology of birth is not just something to master, but something to meet. With respect, curiosity, and awe for the wisdom that lives in our bodies.
Heartiest of blessings to our graduates of our Applied Childbirth Physiology and Pelvic Floor Health Intensive CET. And a big thank you to .physiotherapy.sg and .v for being my co-teachers. May we all stay curious and humble, together. š

As teachers, we are commonly trained to deliver clear and direct instructions to our students. This is not necessarily a bad thing, AND, it is not the only way.
Sometimes, the body and brain might benefit from a little more space to explore ā when we choose a more invitational approach, we might notice:
š±sensation over āshouldāsā
š±exploratory movement that doesnāt have a strict destination
š±allowing time for enjoyment of the entire experience
What might a practice look and feel like, when rigorous discipline gives way to curiosity and patience? š

Most modern yoga practices often glaze over the physical, mental and emotional differences between women and men, despite women making up the majority of yoga practitioners worldwide. We seem to only acknowledge the womb-space in pre/post-natal classes, and less so in other more athletic and alignment-based yoga classes. In these classes, very rarely do women get asked if they were on their period, are wearing an IUD, or suffer from other ailments that could contraindicate certain poses or practices.
We want to create a more women-friendly space to practice yoga and seek therapy in, especially in a world where more is being demanded from women at home and at work, and where women are suffering more than ever from menstrual pain and disorders (e.g. PCOS, endometriosis), infertility issues and other illnesses. With Terra Luna Yoga, our dream is to create a community of sisters, a healing and empowering space for women of every age and life stage, where everyone is heard and respected. Where menarche, menstruation and menopause - together with pregnancy and motherhood ā are celebrated as portals to deep inner wisdom, comfort and strength.
Our promise
As daughters to our mothers, and sisters to one another, our promise is to provide a safe space that is inclusive, supportive and empowering for all women.
Behind the name
āTerraā and āLunaā are the Latin words for earth and moon respectively. The earth is associated with mothering and the majesty of life itself - grounding, strength and nourishment are some qualities that come to mind. The moon is often associated with feminine qualities such as receptivity, emotion and intuition. The phases of the moon universally symbolises the passing of time and a womanās monthly cycle. Put together, Terra Luna represents a rooted feminine consciousness that is delicate yet unwavering, gentle but strong - even in the face of change.
