At the 2026 Dubai World Medical Expo, as a Ferragold brand representative, I deeply observed a growing awareness and acceptance of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) among Europeans, with a polarized level of understanding: acupuncture has become mainstream complementary medicine in Europe, with most countries enacting legislation to regulate it; however, Chinese herbal medicine, due to stringent drug registration requirements and complex ingredients, is mostly circulated as food or health supplements.

South Asians exhibit a stark contrast in their acceptance of TCM, characterized by a high degree of "technology worship" coupled with cultural barriers: "Seeing is believing" techniques like acupuncture and massage are popular in various countries, but oral Chinese herbal medicine remains cautiously scrutinized by the mainstream due to religious taboos, regulatory barriers, and the dominance of local traditional medicine.

Asians generally appreciate TCM, but are somewhat hesitant due to purchasing power. If government subsidies for medical services were addressed, acceptance would likely increase.

South Asian traditional medicine (Indian medicine, Unani medicine) is extremely strong, preventing TCM from entering the West as a "foreign supplement," and forcing it to prove its unique advantages against similar competitors. Currently, acupuncture has successfully expanded its reach due to its immediate effects, while traditional Chinese medicine is stuck in a predicament of "lacking both a thousand-year-old local foundation and modern certification."

一文带你了解尼帕病毒（Nipah virus，NiV）
尼帕病毒（Nipah virus，NiV）是一种非常危险、死亡率高的病毒，可以通过动物（如果蝠）传给人，也可以人传人。目前还没有特效药或疫苗。新加坡虽非疫区，但了解它很重要，尤其是前往流行地区时。
核心信息：
1. 尼帕病毒（Nipah virus，NiV）是什么？
一种高致死率的病毒，属于“亨尼帕病毒”家族。
被世界卫生组织列为重点防范的传染病之一，因其可能导致严重疫情。
2. 来源与传播：
自然宿主：主要是果蝠（俗称“飞狐”），它们带毒但不生病。
如何传给人：
接触受感染的动物（如猪）或其分泌物。
食用/饮用被果蝠污染的食物，如生的椰枣汁或水果。
通过感染者的唾液、呼吸道分泌物等密切接触传播（如家人或医护人员）。
3. 症状与危害：
潜伏期：通常4-14天。
初期：像重感冒（发烧、头痛、呕吐等）。
可迅速发展为脑炎（脑部炎症），导致神志不清、抽搐、昏迷，甚至死亡。
死亡率很高：约40%-75%。
后遗症：部分幸存者可能有长期神经系统问题。
4. 诊断与治疗：
诊断：通过实验室检测（如RT-PCR）。
治疗：没有特效药，主要是医院的支持性治疗（如辅助呼吸、控制症状）。
5. 如何预防？（最重要）
避免接触：在流行地区，远离蝙蝠及其可能污染的区域。
注意饮食安全：切勿饮用生的椰枣汁，水果要彻底清洗或削皮。
个人卫生：避免与疑似感染者密切接触。照顾病人时，医护人员需严格防护。
提高意识：前往已知流行区（如孟加拉国、印度部分地区）时，特别注意以上事项。
6. 为什么受关注？
