Prismatic: For his latest solo exhibition, veteran Singaporean painter Ang Ah Tee turns toward a brighter spectrum. Long recognised for his lyrical depictions of Singapore’s landscapes and rivers, the works in this series reveal a renewed embrace of colour—vivid, expressive, and alive with contemporary sensibility.
The campaign draws inspiration from the phenomenon of light refracting through a prism. Like light splitting into colour, the artist’s evolving palette unfolds across the pages of the catalogue. Rays converge and disperse, echoing the energy of his brushstrokes and the shifting rhythms of the city he paints.
Presented in an accordion-style book, the publication unfolds like a sequence of light itself—continuous, rhythmic, and immersive. As the pages expand, the rays stretch across the surface, guiding the viewer through a journey of colour, memory, and place.
It is both a reflection of an artist’s enduring vision and a celebration of his willingness to move with the zeitgeist, allowing light to refract into new possibilities.
