Researchers warn that CT-related cancers could make up 5% of all new cancer diagnoses annually. Common cancers linked to CT radiation include lung, colon, leukemia, and bladder cancer; in women, breast cancer was also significant. It is essential to avoid unnecessary scans. A previous investigation has found that up to one-third of CT scans may be unnecessary.
