May your homes be filled with love, laughter, and the glow of happiness this Deepavali.

The Festival of Lights reminds us that light will always triumph over darkness, and hope will always shine through, even in challenging times. Let’s take this opportunity to reflect, renew, and reconnect with what truly matters.

From all of us at DCMed, thank you for being part of our journey. May this Deepavali bring you and your loved ones peace, prosperity, and good health.

Happy Deepavali! 🪔

If we make healthier choices now, Singapore could save S$650 million in healthcare costs by 2050: that’s the takeaway from a recent study by NUS’ Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health.

The researchers projected that with sustained lifestyle changes, such as better blood pressure control, more physical activity, and reduced sodium intake, can slow down the rise of chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, stroke, and heart disease.

If each of us does our part by eating healthier, moving more, and reducing our salt consumption, the collective benefit is huge.

We can all make small daily choices with long-term impact, including scheduling regular health checks. Talk to our telemedicine team to find out more!

The prevalence of diabetes, hypertension, stroke and heart disease is forecast to rise sharply among older adults by 2050. Read more at straitstimes.com. Read more at straitstimes.com.

Recent data from the Ministry of Health shows that nearly 11.6% of adults aged 18–74 in Singapore were obese in 2022 - double the rate from 3 decades ago.

Experts emphasise that obesity isn’t a matter of willpower - it is a complex, chronic disease influenced by genetics, metabolism, environment, and lifestyle.

At DCMed, we believe managing obesity should be holistic, personalised, and accessible. Here’s how we help:

✅ Remote consultations with specialists
✅ Empathetic, stigma-free care
✅ Tailored health plans and monitoring

📲 Ready to take the next step? Book a consultation today and let us help you start a tailored health plan designed for real, lasting progress.

Obesity is associated with more than 230 medical conditions, including heart disease, stroke, Type 2 diabetes and fatty liver, according to doctors.
