From different angles, theory, discipline, it all comes back to the same thing. How to regulate ourselves. How to free ourselves from the stories that still live within us and trigger our responses.
Seeing ourselves with more clarity.

How we've been shaped comes from our early ages life and models. And similarly we are again transmitting those to our little ones.
It's worth doing some self work.

First time stepping out of the house without baby Olivia 💕
It was quite an adventure!
I didn't exactly find peace with this session, but I learnt a few things and eventually had some fun

One of yoga's purpose is to distantiate ourselves from our Samskara or Imprints. They mostly refer to previous lives marks on our souls which calls for present life reactivation.

Here I am talking about present life programming, which come from our childhood experiences.
I have been going through therapy session to help me make those links.

This weekend I experienced a situation of hidden facts and lies which triggered me greatly. I could feel that the pain it was causing me was too much compared to the gravity of the facts.
However, the next day I was spontaneously able to link it to a past experience from childhood, and it instantly reduced the intensity of what I was living in the present.

It is such a powerful mechanism...and yet, so much to excavate

This view always recharges me 🌅. We're very lucky to live just 15 min walk from the beach (but we always go by rickshaw 😁, so it's even faster ).

I am now officially on maternity leave!
So I will now focus on resting, prepping for baby's arrival and enjoying the last few weeks (days?) of the life we know with only 2 people.

I was telling my friend, this is the idea that keeps my moral strong despite the discomforts. That now is a short parenthesis of peace to be enjoyed.

And when I am scared of the birthing and what comes next, then I cheer myself up thinking of :
1/ the cute baby awaiting
2/ getting to be again in my body alone after that 😁

♡Day 8 of : Anyone can do yoga 🙌

It's incredible the amount of injunction you receive when you are pregnant. A lot of people will want to give you advice and many will project a lot of fear, also judgement on you of what you should and shouldn't do (oh you're drinking coffee 😳☕?) . It can create a lot of stress.

Obviously, it is a woman's responsibility to take all necessary measures for her baby's safety as well as hers.
And there are definitely limitations to respect during pregnancy which I think the women should assess herself with the relevant and scientific insights.

There are also many things a pregnant women can do if she has the energy, the knowledge and doesn't experience any complications in her pregnancy. She can run, she can exercise and she can invert. 🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🤸‍♀️

Inversions are perfectly safe, as long as the practicioner is familiar and confident in the technique. It is even recommended to create some space in the lower abdomen, and can help baby to position him/herself.
I definitely feel like taking it easy and ultra safe, so I did it on the wall, legs bent to have a better alignment.

♡Day 7 of : Building courage and compassion through our practice. Any yoga pose that makes you feel strong 💪yet beautiful 💕

This whole challenge was a personal challenge to put myself in front of a camera. The pregnant women's body is changing every day, and it can be quite destabilising to see ourselves suddenly with unfamiliar proportions. I do not exactly like those pictures, but it felt good to get back to sharing my experience with others on this page.

A variation of Moon Gate pose 🌙, Candra Parigha Asana, that gives me a good side stretch as well as some stamina.

♡Day 6 of : Shifting focus from how you look on the outside to how you feel on the inside

This is another Kriya I have been practicing, meditation with a Mudra.
Again, an uncomfortable position when held for a while, in which I train myself to find inner peace and anchor.
When I practice it in the morning, it gives a sense of accomplishment, pride and victory to have overcome this challenge. It gives me so much mental strength for the day ✨

♡Day 5 of : Giving appropriate variations to an asana.

That's how my forward fold look like these days 😅. Definitely not beautiful, glamorous or Instagramable, but I want to show it because it's real.
I have to spread the legs quite widely to allow space for my baby in my belly 🤰🏼👶🏻

Relaxin flows into my body and losens the joints. I am pretty sure it only targets the hip area (which indeed feel really wobbly and sore), because the rest of my body is stiffer than before (I was hoping once in my life to be much more supple, but not happening)

♡Day 4 of : Integrating Yoga philosophy/ Honouring the roots of yoga, as yoga is not just about asanas.

I found this yoga program from , which included Mudra meditations or Kriyas. In this one I lean backward slightly engaging the abdominals and look up. I hold it for about 5 minutes, concentrating on my breath.
It is certainly uncomfortable, which is the purpose. Train myself to accept the less pleasant sensations and find inner anchors (the breath) to be in it anyways.
Mental training to prepare for birthing 👶

♡Day 3 of : integrating props to your practice. Pārśvottānāsana /Intense side strech pose or Pyramid pose with blocks.

Even outside of pregnancy, I love to use props, especially blocks. I am not very flexible and I really do enjoy to have this extra lift up in stretching pose to be able to feel more comfortable and therefore inhabit the pose fully. More stability more release.
A lot of my teachers challenge me not to use them, but honestly I don't care and I like my practice like that best.

It's good to challenge ourselves. And be challenged sometimes. But ultimately it's about knowing ourselves, fully letting go of how we appear to others, and do what's best for our body and growth.

♡Day 2 of : Creating safe and inviting environment for all, no matter what age, size, gender, ability and experience level. Pose: Any heart ♥️ opener

Prone (lying on the belly) backbends are one of the first thing to remove from pregnancy yoga practice, to avoid compression on the belly and the baby (Bhujangasana/cobra, Dharunasana/Bow, etc) 🐍🏹
As I enter more later stage of pregnancy, I also have to keep movements minimal, as the joints are more loose (due to the hormone relaxin), and there is an overall strain on certain parts of the body (such as the lower back supporting the heavier belly).

This is a prenatal safe backbend, a variation of ardha supta vajrasana. Thorax shooting upward. It's very mild but gives great comfort 💗
