About 1 in 4 Primary 1 kids in Singapore are already short sighted (myopic), yet many parents feel they have no choice but to accept it.

Instead of just trying to slow myopia progression after they become short sighted / myopic, we can do more by delaying when myopia starts. And by delaying that "start time" of myopia, we can reduce how myopic they eventually become, which means lowering the risk of sight threatening diseases in their later life.
