Our Story

The Golden Concepts is an e-commerce store that curates eldercare products to enable ageing well.

The idea behind the company first started when co-founders Vanessa and Chang Xi went to Denmark on a student exchange programme during their university days. They observed Danish seniors embracing ageing and living life to the fullest, while not being limited by mobility challenges.

Upon returning to their own elderly grandparents, they wondered – why not bring home this positive, independent culture surrounding the golden years?

In 2011, The Golden Concepts was set up in Singapore. Initially run from a home office, the company’s growth soon outgrew the space, and had recently made Crocodile House its new home ably supported by a passionate team.

Choosing the right eldercare product can be confusing sometimes. That is why we are committed to provide only the best in our store.

We take user feedback very seriously. Over the years, we have curated a range of high quality products suited to our customers’ needs, including partnering with the finest manufacturers to create our own improved product lines.

Attention to detail is important. Product safety standards are our top priority and we go the extra mile to source for the best, durable parts. We believe our products should be colourful and stylish for our users – because who says eldercare products have to be boring?
