Getting your alignment right on all fours is key to preventing injuries, lower back pain or discomfort during an exercise — it’s one of the most common mistakes we see in class!
Here are 4 things to look out for:
☁️ Make sure your knees are directly under your hips and wrists directly under your shoulders
☁️ Your head should be looking in slightly in front of you, gazing off in a long diagonal
☁️ Tailbone should neutral, reaching away actively from your head without rounding your lower spine
☁️ Maintain a neutral back, this means no over-rounding or over-arching it
☝🏼 Hot tip: Make sure your weight is equally distributed between both hands and knees!
If this was helpful, save it as a reminder for your next class!
