We’re Safe — Thank You to Everyone Who Responded

Last night, our ambulance office in Johor Bahru experienced a small electrical fire. We immediately activated the Fire & Rescue Department through the SaveMe999 application.

The fire services arrived promptly, swiftly identified the source, and removed a fully-ignited fuse before it could spread further. Once the fire team stood down, TNB arrived to inspect the electrical system and replaced the damaged fuse and part of the wiring on the spot.

We are grateful for the rapid, coordinated response from multiple agencies, fellow ambulance services, and everyone who reached out. It was also reassuring to successfully use the newly launched NG MERS 999 system for a real incident on the very same day it went live.

Most importantly — we are all fine, and operations continue as usual. Thank you for your concern and support. Stay safe, everyone.

“When we restart a heart, we don’t just save a life — we save a family.”

It was an ordinary morning that turned extraordinary.
A runner suddenly collapsed — no pulse, no breathing. In medical terms, clinical death. But in that critical moment, a bystander stepped forward and started CPR. We arrived with the AED, delivered three shocks, continued compressions and airway management — and that heart came back.

That moment reminded us what this job is truly about.
Behind every heartbeat restored is a family reunited, a child who gets their parent back, a spouse who doesn’t have to say goodbye.

This World Restart A Heart Day, we honour not just the lives saved, but the teamwork, quick thinking, and compassion that make survival possible — from the bystanders who act, to the paramedics who respond.

🚨 Hectic Weekend: Cross Border Medical Repatriation 🇸🇬➡️🇲🇾

This weekend began with a critical transfer from the Surgical High Dependency Ward at National University Hospital, Singapore, to the Yellow Trauma Unit of the Emergency Department at Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru.

🛣️ The patient, a Malaysian worker, was involved in a serious road traffic accident in Singapore, sustaining multiple fractures in both upper and lower limbs.
🛠️ Surgical intervention was done with external fixators, and a VAC dressing was applied to aid healing.

📉 Due to insurance limitations, the family and employer made the tough decision to continue his recovery back in Malaysia.

We’re thankful for the teamwork that made this seamless and safe journey possible. 💪🏼
