Joanne Thia is a Usui Reiki Master Teacher and an affiliate Teacher with The Reiki Centre. In 2012, she chanced upon Reiki while searching for the happy formula to life. Never looked back since. Joanne is also a Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner and Teacher. She founded SimplyBach Studio (www.SimplyBach.sg) to help humans and animals with

their emotion healing using Bach Flower Remedies. Joanne is also trained in animal communication skills, so that she can communicate with the animals directly when providing healing services for them.

She strongly believes in the empowerment of self-healing and that is why she holds the pure and simple healing modalities of Reiki and Bach Flower Remedies close to her heart. She believes everyone, through self-healing, can find their own path of peace and wholeness in their lives.

Throwback to last October… when we collectively decided to ‘pause life’ for 5 days.
(No emails. No deadlines. Just feelings. So many feelings.)

In rustic Bukit Tabur, we traded the noise of the world for something far more confronting… ourselves. 😌

There were tears.
There was laughter.
There were moments of
“eh why am I like that ah…”

And somewhere in between, something softened.

We remembered how to listen with the heart.
To see with the heart.
To feel… without immediately trying to fix.

And somehow, strangers became… not so strange anymore.

Missing it?
Ya… we also. 🥲

So here’s a little throwback to stir the memories (and maybe your feelings again).

On 4 April 2026, we are proud to announce the graduation of a new Reiki Master — Jasmine Liew Yi Xuan!

As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child.

Teacher Joanne says,

It takes 300 hammer strikes to shape a piece of furniture.

And beyond that,

It takes a circle of Reiki Teachers to nurture and guide the birth of a new Reiki Master.

But above all, this achievement belongs to Xuan!

For her unwavering resilience and commitment throughout her Reiki Master training journey, which began on 6 December 2025. She did not give up, even when the path demanded more of her.

And as Teacher Joanne reminds us,

Graduating as a Reiki Master is not the destination, it is the beginning of a deeper spiritual path.

Keep going, Xuan. Stay true, stay grounded, and continue to grow.

Jia you, Xuan! ✨

And for such a joyous occasion, the teachers must celebrate with goofiness! 🤭

9 beautiful souls gathered this evening for Experiencing Reiki ✨

We began with a light-hearted (and slightly cheeky!) game, opening up conversations around what Reiki healing truly means, and exploring their understanding of Heart Chakra attunement.

There was laughter, honesty, and moments of surprising depth.

From there, we dropped into a group healing centred on the theme: Path of Light & True Kindness.

A gentle yet deep space where each participant was invited to soften, receive, and reconnect with the quiet wisdom of the heart.

What unfolded was simple, sincere, and deeply moving, reminding us that kindness is not something we perform, but something we return to.

Grateful for every presence tonight. And cutie pie Huat Kueh 🐶 who dropped by with her daddy. 💕

And, for those who have been curious about Reiki but unsure where to begin, this is your invitation. Come experience it for yourself, no prior knowledge needed, just a willingness to show up as you are.

✨ Being with Reiki — A Beautiful Beginning ✨

Last Wednesday, 25 March 2026, something quietly magical unfolded.

Our very first Being with Reiki gathering, lovingly held by Teacher Joanne and Teacher Karen, welcomed a small, intimate circle of four participants… and it turned out to be exactly as it was meant to be.

In that cozy space, there was no rush to “heal” or “fix.”

Just a gentle returning, to breath, to presence, to the subtle flow of life force energy within and around us.

There were moments of stillness…
Soft laughter…
Unexpected insights…

And the simple, powerful experience of being, together.

What touched us most was how naturally the space unfolded.

No performance, no pressure. Just authenticity, connection, and a quiet kind of nourishment that lingers long after.

To those who joined us, thank you for your openness and trust. You co-created something truly special. 💛

And to those who felt the call but couldn’t make it this time, we’ll be holding this space again.

Sometimes, the most meaningful experiences are the ones that ask for nothing… except your presence. 🌿
