Simply Reiki Simply Reiki is founded by Joanne Thia, Usui Reiki Teacher. She founded Simply Reiki (www.SimplyReiki.sg) to teach Reiki in a simple and pure way just as it is.

Joanne Thia is a Usui Reiki Master Teacher and an affiliate Teacher with The Reiki Centre. In 2012, she chanced upon Reiki while searching for the happy formula to life. Never looked back since. Joanne is also a Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner and Teacher. She founded SimplyBach Studio (www.SimplyBach.sg) to help humans and animals with their emotion healing using Bach Flower Remedies. Joanne is also trained in animal communication skills, so that she can communicate with the animals directly when providing healing services for them.

She strongly believes in the empowerment of self-healing and that is why she holds the pure and simple healing modalities of Reiki and Bach Flower Remedies close to her heart. She believes everyone, through self-healing, can find their own path of peace and wholeness in their lives.

February marks the arrival of 1/6 of 2026.

Five lovely souls gathered for the second run of Experiencing Reiki this year on first Thursday of February.

We received Reiki initiation, or in simple terms, a blessing and healing.

We contemplated a topic about life that feels simple, yet deeply profound:-

Whatever had happened, is happening, or will happen in our lives, happens for us, not to us.

We arrive in this lifetime to experience our own life script written by ourselves.

We may live out this script by scrimping through it, merely going through the motions, struggling, cruising, or by fully immersing ourselves in the experience of each moment.

When we pause to take stock of our attitude toward life, from day one of this lifetime to this present moment, we create an opportunity to realign, that is, to remind ourselves how we wish to live the remaining pages of the script, all the way to the final day of this lifetime.

Reiki on, folks.

As 2025 gently drew to a close, we gathered for the final run of Experiencing Reiki on 18 December with a warm circle of 12 participants, marking the season with reflection, connection, and quiet celebration.

Together, we explored the meaning of giving and taking in life, how we are so often conditioned to give, because it feels easier on the conscience, yet hesitate or feel undeserving when it is our turn to receive.

We softened into the understanding that being a taker is also an act of love, allowing the giver to fully extend their care.

In the same spirit, we turned inward to what it means to give to ourselves and to let life meet us in the places where we have needs.

To honour this, we decorated brownies with our own hands, not for anyone else, not to please or perform, but as a gift lovingly made for ourselves.

It felt like a small year-end festival, sweet, unhurried, and quietly affirming, closing the year with warmth, permission, and gentle joy.

Till then, 2026!

A lovely evening spent with 10 beautiful souls at Experiencing Reiki on 27 November.

We explored how, in our busy daily lives, the mind carries its endless to-do list while the body quietly holds its own to-heal list.

And right at the top of that list for many people today is simply, to sleep like a happy baby.

It sounds basic, yet it is essential.

Why?

12 souls gathered together for this evening's Experiencing Reiki, not to learn something new, but to remember what has always been true.

Beneath the languages of science, healing, and spirituality lies the same pulse of life, the same current of truth moving through all things.

Together, we sat with this remembrance, that every tradition, every path, is a human attempt to return to peace, to love, to home.

Through Reiki, we allow energy to teach us, silently and gently, that the universal truth does not belong to any one body of knowledge, but lives within each of us.

In this space, we listened beyond the words, feeling our shared longing dissolve into the stillness that has been waiting for us all along.
