It’s never just about the pet… it’s the guilt we carry after.
Emergency cases are something I see very often.
Especially when pets are unwell… or in critical condition.
And almost always, what comes with it is not just worry —
but guilt and anxiety.
“Sorry I didn’t spend enough time with you.”
“Sorry I didn’t notice earlier.”
“If only I had brought you to the vet sooner…”
These words… come from love.
But they also become something that weighs heavily on the heart.
Many guardians reach out because they want to know —
Are they in pain?
Are they comfortable?
Do they have anything they want to say… before it’s too late?
And I do my best to show up, even late at night.
Because I understand how overwhelming that feeling can be.
But if I can share something gently, it is this:
Guilt does not change the past.
But connection can change the present.
Here are 2 ways you can support both yourself and your pet:
1️⃣ Regular check-ins
Instead of waiting for emergencies, connect regularly.
Bimonthly or quarterly sessions help you stay aligned —
emotionally, energetically, and in understanding each other’s needs.
2️⃣ Learn to communicate yourself
Because nothing replaces hearing them directly.
You don’t have to wait, worry, or wonder.
You can check in anytime, anywhere.
This is not just about communication.
It is about reducing regret, deepening connection,
and being present — before it feels too late.
Emergency sessions will always be available when needed.
But healing… begins before the emergency.
