“Well‑being work is improvement work.”

A simple yet powerful line from our plenary speaker, Dr. Jonathan Ripp, Dean for Well‑Being, Mount Sinai, at our Way of Wellness (WOW) Conference 2026 – one that invites us to see wellness in a new light.

When we treat wellness as improvement work, we commit to listening deeply, supporting teams to shape solutions, and growing leaders who can sustain improvement in both quality and well‑being. At its heart, it’s about thoughtfully shaping the everyday experiences of our people who give so much of themselves every day.

Our conference came alive through open conversations on mental wellness and on building workplace cultures where people can thrive. Speakers from across industries and organisations shared practical insights on supporting staff in ways that make work not just sustainable, but meaningful. Because when individuals feel heard, trusted, and empowered, improvement follows – and it lasts.

We will continue to grow wellness inside and out by cultivating self‑care, supporting mental well-being, and shaping systems, carrying these ideas beyond the conference and into our daily lives. 🧡✨

Congratulations to Clinical Associate Professor Chan Yoke Hwee on her appointment as CEO of KK Women's and Children's Hospital, effective 1 May 2026!

Prof Chan brings an impressive track record of transformational leadership - from tripling research output and securing over $55 million in philanthropic funding, to pioneering initiatives like the KKH Maternal and Child Health Research Institute and Singapore's first Genomic Assessment Centre. Her vision for value-driven, patient-centred care will undoubtedly propel KKH to new heights.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Professor Alex Sia for nine years of exceptional leadership at KKH. Under his visionary stewardship, the hospital achieved milestones - from establishing Singapore's first community hub for child development and maternal health, to launching the groundbreaking STORK centre and ChildKind-certified paediatric Burn Centre. His commitment to clinical excellence and employee wellbeing has earned KKH international recognition. Prof Sia will be appointed Senior Advisor, SingHealth, with effect from 1 May 2026.

Here's to our next chapter of nurturing health and potential for mothers, children, and families across Singapore and beyond! 👶👩‍⚕️⚕

"What we want to do is use AI to humanise healthcare. We call it AI with humans in the loop."

In a recent conversation with Ravi from The Straits Times, Wai Hoe shares how he sees AI helping in - better diagnostic decisions for doctors, less paperwork for clinicians so they can spend more time with patients, and enable smoother operations overall. 🏥

He's also optimistic about Gen Z healthcare professionals: "They can be very altruistic. If they have strong beliefs in something, they will be full on and they will do an excellent job – way better than us. It is all about motivating them and giving their lives meaning and purpose." 💪

We started with a simple idea in 2013: "Neighbours for Active Living" - recognising that neighbours are often the closest support when family isn't nearby. We placed care staff trained in health and social care right in the heart of neighbourhoods, working with grassroots organisations, religious groups, schools, public agencies and private companies.

Today, our Healthier Singapore Teams combine primary care providers, community nurses, Wellbeing Coordinators (WBCs) and community partners across 30+ geographically defined zones, delivering holistic, person-centred care throughout residents' life course.

The impact? Residents experienced fewer health crises requiring emergency care, spent less time in hospital when they did need treatment, and gained better control over their chronic conditions. Most importantly, seniors maintained their independence longer while feeling more connected and supported in their own communities.

By empowering communities and building strong cross-sector partnerships, we achieved tangible health outcomes while restoring dignity and social connection for seniors in Singapore.

This work has earned recognition in the Global Top 30 Improvers Awards – recognising 30 individuals and teams who are leading change and shaping the future of healthcare improvement. is shortlisted among the top 6 for the Best Cross-Organisation Collaboration Award at the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare.

What a joy to celebrate CNY with our elderly residents at Henderson CC! Our nurses organised a wonderful dinner and evening of performances to bring cheer and company to the community. Our nurses have truly become part of this community, showing that healthcare extends far beyond hospital walls. 🧡

Grateful to be part of their lives in more ways than one, and to Ms Joan Pereira, MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC, for joining us in this celebration of care and connection.
