Sprained your ankle and reached for tape straight away? You’re not alone, but timing and technique matter more than most people realise 👣

Ankle taping can be incredibly effective when used correctly. It helps support healing ligaments, improves stability, and reduces the risk of re-injury. But here’s the catch, taping is only one part of the recovery process.

Early on, managing swelling is key. Later, restoring strength, balance, and movement control is what truly prevents future injuries.

That’s where physiotherapy comes in.

👉 If your ankle still feels unstable, painful, or keeps “giving way,” it’s time to get it assessed.

Not all “rest” is created equal. True recovery isn’t just about doing nothing, it’s about helping your body and nervous system reset 🧠

From breathing exercises to low-effort activities, the right kind of rest can actually speed up recovery, reduce stress, and improve how your body heals.

Let’s see what you think 👀

Strapped for support 👣

Ankle taping isn’t just about protection, it’s about giving your body the confidence to move safely while it heals.

Whether you’re recovering from a sprain, returning to sport, or managing instability, taping can:
✔️ Provide external support to injured ligaments
✔️ Improve joint awareness (proprioception)
✔️ Reduce risk of re-injury during activity
✔️ Allow safer return to movement and sport

But here’s the key, taping works best when combined with the right rehabilitation plan. It’s not a long-term fix, but a powerful tool within a structured recovery strategy.

If you’ve had a recent ankle injury or feel instability when moving, it’s time to get it assessed.
👉 Book a session with our physios and move with confidence again.

Ankle taping isn’t just about support, it’s about moving better while you recover 👣

After an ankle injury, your ligaments need time to heal. Taping helps by:
✔ Reducing stress on injured structures
✔ Providing external stability
✔ Allowing safer, more confident movement

But here’s the key 👇

Taping alone isn’t enough.

Without proper rehabilitation, you may still experience:
• Ongoing instability
• Repeated sprains
• Reduced performance

That’s why at Integrative Physio, we combine taping with targeted, evidence-based rehab, so you don’t just feel better, you recover properly.

If your ankle still feels weak, unstable, or “not quite right,” it’s time to address it.

Every step you take does more than just move you forward 🚶‍♂️

Walking is one of the most natural and effective ways to support your body. It helps:
✔ Maintain joint mobility
✔ Improve circulation
✔ Strengthen muscles
✔ Reinforce healthy movement patterns

Over time, these small, consistent steps add up, supporting not just your physical health, but your long-term resilience and function.

The body adapts to what you do regularly.
So the more you move well, the better your body performs.

If walking causes discomfort, pain, or feels limited, it’s a sign your body may need support.

👉 Book a physiotherapy assessment via the link in bio and start moving better, every day.

Your body isn’t just moving, it’s learning 🧠

Every step, every lift, every movement sends information to your nervous system. Over time, your brain builds patterns based on what you repeatedly do, whether those patterns are efficient… or not.

That’s why pain, injury, or poor movement habits don’t just affect your muscles, they can change how your brain controls movement.

Physiotherapy works by:
✔ Re-training movement patterns
✔ Improving coordination and control
✔ Helping your nervous system “unlearn” inefficient or painful habits

This is how we don’t just treat symptoms, we create long-term, sustainable recovery.

Because better movement isn’t just about strength… it’s about how your brain and body work together.
If something doesn’t feel right in your movement, don’t ignore it.

Think it’s “just a sprained ankle”? 🤔

Ankle ligament injuries are one of the most common injuries we see, but also one of the most underestimated.

What many people don’t realise is that it’s not just about pain.

A ligament injury can affect your stability, balance, and movement control, increasing your risk of repeated sprains and long-term issues if not properly treated.

Research shows that once you’ve had one ankle sprain, you’re significantly more likely to have another, especially without structured rehabilitation.

That’s why recovery isn’t just about rest. It’s about:
✔ Restoring strength
✔ Rebuilding balance and control
✔ Progressively returning to activity

At Integrative Physio, we guide you through a structured, evidence-based rehab plan so you don’t just recover, you come back stronger and more resilient.

If your ankle still feels unstable, painful, or “not quite right,” don’t ignore it.

Most people think a concussion only happens when you hit your head… but that’s not always true 🧠
A sudden force, like a fall, collision, or even whiplash, can cause the brain to move rapidly inside the skull. This can disrupt normal brain function, even without direct head impact.

That’s why concussions are often missed or underestimated.

Common symptoms can include:
• Headaches
• Dizziness or balance issues
• Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
• Sensitivity to light or noise

And they don’t always appear immediately.

Early assessment and proper management are key to preventing prolonged symptoms and delayed recovery.

At Integrative Physio, we provide comprehensive concussion care, from assessment to guided rehabilitation, helping you safely return to daily life and sport.

If something doesn’t feel right after a fall or impact, don’t ignore it.

Neck pain, stiffness, or headaches can often be linked to restricted movement in the cervical spine and surrounding muscles. Physiotherapy uses hands-on techniques, movement assessment, and targeted rehabilitation to help restore normal joint mobility and reduce muscle tension.

Manual therapy, like the treatment shown here, can help improve neck mobility, relieve discomfort, and support better movement patterns when combined with specific exercises. The goal isn’t just short-term relief, but helping your neck move and function better long-term.

If neck pain is affecting your work, sleep, or daily activities, it may be time to get it assessed.

Muscle tightness is common in sport and training, but persistent tightness can sometimes indicate underlying muscle dysfunction such as myofascial trigger points.

Dry needling is a physiotherapy technique used to target these trigger points and help restore normal muscle function. Research suggests it may help reduce pain, improve local circulation, and influence neuromuscular activity within affected muscles.

However, dry needling is not a quick fix. It is most effective when combined with structured rehabilitation that addresses movement quality, strength, and training load.

👉 If recurring muscle tightness or pain is limiting your training, book a physiotherapy assessment via the link in bio.
