女居民被指搬入大巴窑组屋后每月在走廊开坛做法事，邻居一开门就见祭台上放满灵牌、祭品，心神不安直呼“班当”（Pantang，忌讳的意思）。
　　这起事件发生在大巴窑东第270A座组屋。
　　有读者通知本报，指一名女居民搬入后，3个月来至少3次在公共走廊办法事，包括摆出祭品祭祀孤魂，让人心中惴惴不安，也指祭坛挡路。

The crematorium will be closed from August 2025 to late 2028 for upgrading works. During this period, the monastery will not be conducting any cremations. The Cremation office will be temporarily relocated to a site outside the monastery’s Multi-Storey Car Park. We will continue to serve you on all other services as usual.

本寺火化场即将于2025年8月起暂时关闭进行翻新工程，预计于2028年尾重新开放。在这期间，寺院将暂停所有火化服务。 火化场办公室将暂时迁移至寺院的多层停车场外，继续为信众提供后事及诵经相关服务。

光明山普觉禅寺火化场下星期一（6月2日）起暂停服务，以展开翻新工程。受访殡葬业者说，火化场设施老旧，确实有重建的必要，工程预计不会对火化需求造成太大影响。
