HWA Charity Lunch 2025 was held at Qian Xi Restaurant on 13 Dec, Saturday, bringing beneficiaries, donors, partners, and volunteers together for a meaningful afternoon of connection and engagement.

The programme featured an address by our Vice President, Ms. Heather Wong, along with lunch, lucky draw segments, a presentation by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on personal mobility devices, and performances by Will Power Band, Kumarino, and Play for Good, showcasing a well-curated mix of classic favourites, Hokkien songs and Christmas-themed pieces. The afternoon provided a lively and enjoyable experience for all who attended.

A big thank you to everyone who made the event possible — together, we celebrated community, joy and support for HWA’s mission to serve persons with physical disabilities and the elderly.

Happy Community Care Day 2025!

Today, we celebrate and honour our dedicated Community Care Workers for their unwavering care and support for our clients and beneficiaries. Your compassion and commitment make a meaningful difference every single day.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Agency for Integrated Care - AIC Singapore for their generous funding that helps uplift and recognise the community care sector. With this funding received from AIC, HWA presented our Community Care Workers with fresh fruit bundles and NTUC vouchers as tokens of appreciation — a small gesture to thank them for their continuous dedication and the positive impact they bring to the lives of our beneficiaries.

To mark this special occasion, HWA set aside a day on 6 Nov 2025 at our Whampoa Rehabilitation Centre for beneficiaries to show their gratitude to the Community Care team. The day was filled with warmth and joy — beneficiaries presented crafted flowers to the Community Care Workers as a heartfelt gesture of thanks, enjoyed fun games that brought smiles and laughter, and received a small gift to take home as a cheerful reminder of the day.

We are immensely proud of our Community Care teams across departments for their dedication, teamwork, and commitment to impacting lives. Let’s continue to celebrate the heart of care every day.

At HWA, we have a dedicated team of Home Care Workers and Medical Es**rt staff from Myanmar, Philippines, and Vietnam — working tirelessly to serve our clients, mainly persons with disabilities and the elderly in Singapore.

They recently completed 10 beginner Chinese lessons to communicate better and connect more meaningfully with those under their care.
Each session plants the seeds of better understanding — small steps that make a big difference in the long run.

Watch them share what they have learnt and hear their teacher’s words of encouragement.

We are proud to stand for inclusion and celebrate abilities — together with our amazing HWA Members and the HWA Drumming Group, who once again performed at this year’s parade, showcasing their coordination and talents.
