I’ll get to the last coupla weeks with Lagwagon, Frenzal & Cell Block soon, but was stoked to be part of APRA’s first Regional Session for the year, and even more happy that it was 15 minutes from my house.
ft. Legends talking about making music, traversing the music industry and playing music, to an audience of ages from high school to heaps older, people playing in their bedrooms and people with viral instagram posts (at least until the govt shut them down for being under 16). As you can see in some of these photos, I looked heaps like I knew what I was talking about, so hopefully they believed I did. I also got heaps out of chatting to everyone, and it was an honour to hear Iris from Djinama Yilaga tell their story in one of my workshops.
Cheers to Alice for asking all excellent questions and dealing with my pre-show vent (unrelated), and to Kristen, Nikki & all at APRA for coming down to Djiringanj Country!
If they’re near you, go along! There’s heaps to learn and heaps for us to learn from you.
Photos by except the dodgy ones at the end.

Stop number one took us to beautiful BEGA! 🧀
Regional Sessions are one-day events designed to bring music industry knowledge, workshops, networking, and live performances directly to regional creators, no matter where you’re at in your music journey.
A big thanks to BEGA’s workshop and speaker superstars:
Along with Alice Matthews, our keynote moderator, and Sam Rees, MusicNSW Regional Coordinator.
And to the incredible performers - choir and 💛
