Cats 𝗰𝗮𝗻 see colours, just not the full rainbow like we do.
Here’s how their vision works:�
🔹 They see blues and greens quite well.�
🔸 Reds, pinks and oranges appear more like muted greys or browns.
So cats aren’t completely colour blind: their world is simply more soft, pastel and desaturated.

What really matters to them isn’t colour anyway — it’s movement. Their eyes are built for tracking quick motions and seeing in low light, not for admiring bright shades. 😌

🧬 𝗠𝗗𝗥𝟭: 𝗮 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸
Some breeds carry an inherited MDR1 mutation, which weakens the brain’s natural protective “filter.” Because of this, certain medications - especially Ivermectin - can become dangerous even at doses that are normally completely safe.
⚠️ In dogs with the MDR1 defect, a dose as low as 150 mcg/kg can be toxic, allowing the substance to pass directly into the brain.

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸:
Old English Sheepdog, Collie, Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd, White Swiss Shepherd, Sheltie, Long-haired Whippet, Elo, McNab, Silken Windhound, Wäller.
