Students can transfer to 5-years program Dental medicine that opened in 2025/2026 - currently, transfer are possible to the 2nd year, in 2027/2028 also 3rd year will be possible

A spacious classroom, a respite room, meeting rooms and modern office facilities. We finally have everything under one roof in the new Dean's Office building, which we opened today on the premises of our medical faculty. 👏🥂
The symbolic ribbon was cut with surgical scissors by our Dean Rastislav Maďar together with the Rector of the University of Ostrava Petr Kopecký, the Director of the Ostrava University Hospital Jiří Havrlant, the Mayor of the Ostrava Vítkovice District Richard Čermák, the architect Martin Janda and the owner of the Bystroň Group construction company Michal Bystroň. Before the ceremonial ribbon cutting, the building was even blessed by the Bishop of the Ostrava-Opava Diocese Martin David. ♥️

The tuition fees for Medical University of East Sarajevo increased to 7000 BAM (approximately 3580€) per year.
The entrance exam will take part in the 1st week of July. Registration will be closed on 27th of June 2025

The faculty of medicine in Martin was visited by medical experts and guests from South Korea in March 2025. 🧑‍⚕️ The visit was held under the auspices of the Korean Embassy and the delegation consisted of hospital directors, doctors from medical fields such as neurosurgery and neurology.
The faculty management introduced them to the city of Martin, the faculty, and its scientific work. The guests from Korea were particularly interested in the program for international students, the reasons why they choose Martin to study medicine, and the study options for Korean students. 🤝 As part of the tour, they visited several laboratories and spaces of the Martin Center for Biomedicine. 🔬

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava participated in Brain Week again this year and offered inspiring lectures from the world of neuroscience research. 🧠👏
Professor David Školoudík explained to the audience the role of ultrasound in the treatment of stroke and presented the ultrasound sonolysis method, which can help dissolve blood clots and reduce the risk of stroke during carotid artery surgery. Research by experts from Europe, in which Professor Školoudík also participated, showed that this method can significantly contribute to safer carotid artery surgery.👨‍⚕️

Medical students from Jessenius Faculty of medicine are collaborating with the Department of Health of the Žilina Self-Governing Region to improve public awareness of the importance of prevention. 🩺 Their goal is to direct people's interest in taking care of their health, ⬆️ increase participation in preventive check-ups and also inform about the scope and entitlement to them.✅
A spirometric test for lung function examination was also available. ℹ️ At the information booth, our students also discussed prevention of civilization diseases and practicing self-examination of breasts and testicles.
