The Zobor Charter of 1111 is Slovakia's oldest preserved original charter, closely tied to its place of writing and entire content. King Coloman, through this judgment charter issued before September 1, 1111, confirmed the claims of the Benedictine abbey on Nitra's Zobor to a third of the revenues from all tolls in Nitra, Trenčín, and along the entire Váh River, which the Benedictines had received from King Stephen I. From the perspective of the history of education, it holds special significance as the earliest known mention of a teacher in our territory. Liptov - Family and Seasonal Customs
The book presents a picture of traditional family life in Liptov at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, associated with the most significant events in a person's life - birth, wedding, and death. In addition to these family customs descriptions, the monograph describes calendar customs during the entire annual cycle - from spring to the end of winter. It is Easter and the customs of peasants and shepherds, the customs of the summer solstice up to the pre-Christmas and Christmas period, New Year's and Shrovetide.

Smolenice Castle and Nikita Khrushchev

Smolenice Castle was built in the 15th century, but it was destroyed during Rákóczi's War of Independence and Napoleanic wars. The castle was only rebuilt in the 20th century, by order of Count József Pálffy.

This is also a place where First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Nikita Khrushchev spent two nights during the Vienna summit meeting with the President John F. Kennedy. The summit was held on June 4, 1961.

Cividale Evangeliary is a medieval Latin transcript of the Gospel of Mark, written on parchment. It is named after Cividale del Friuli, a town in Northern Italy where it is kept. It contains about 1500 Slavic and German names of pilgrims to the monastery, written in the second half of the 9th and the first half of the 10th century. It is one of the most important sources related to the beginnings of Slavic history, especially Slovaks, Bulgarians, Croats and Slovenes. It contains the oldest entries of Slavic names, such as: Svätopluk, Svätožizňa, Predeslav, Rastislav, Koceľ, Pribina, Michael, Sondoke, Braslav, Trpimír but also Miloš, Slávka, Slovienka, Dojka, Popol, Uzda, Predeslav, Koč, Biely, Dobrý, Blcha, Holý, Bordej, Drak and many others.

Evangelical Lyceum library in Kežmarok housing more than 150,000 volumes is the biggest school library in central Europe. Beside 53 incunabula it also has 2,600 books, some dating from the 16th century. There are also precious and significant incunables (from the time before the year 1500) and incunabulum from the 16th century (Luther’s bible, Melanchton’s manuscripts and many others). The Lyceum has become a workplace for many significant figures and national enthusiasts. Many of well known personalities can document this, for example: Fröhlich, Buchholz, Šafárik, Hviezdoslav, Alexander, Genersich, Medňanský, Kazinczy and others.
