Polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS) is a set of symptoms caused by a problem with a woman’s hormones. It affects the ovaries causing unpredictable ovulation and hormonal imbalance . PCOS is a very common condition in women of childbearing age.

🟦 What is the main of PCOS❓
The exact cause of PCOS is unknown.
1- There’s evidence that genetics play a role.
2- Higher levels of male hormones (androgens) prevent ovulation.
3- Insulin resistance.
4- Low-grade inflammation.

🟦 What are the and of polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS)❓
it’s possible to have PCOS and not have any symptoms.
The most common signs and symptoms of PCOS include:
1- Irregular periods.
2- Infertility: PCOS is the most common cause of infertility.
3- Abnormal hair growth: (hirsutism).
4- Acne.
5- Obesity in 30% of people with PCOS.
6- Darkening of the skin: You may get patches of dark skin, especially in the folds of your neck, armpits, groin and under your breasts. This is known as acanthosis nigricans.
7- Skin tags.
8- Thinning hair: lose patches of hair on the head.
9- Polycystic ovaries appear larger with many follicles (egg sac cysts) on ultrasound.
