Exceptional pediatric surgery at Koidu Government Hospital restores hope for newborn 👶🏾

A preterm baby born with intestinal malrotation and a rare organ placement condition made a remarkable recovery after surgery at Koidu Government Hospital in Kono district. Thanks to the skilled hands of the surgical team and the compassionate care of our nurses, the baby was discharged after a two-week stay in the special care baby unit.

At KGH, an average of 26 major surgeries are performed each week, with Thursdays dedicated to pediatric care.
