We thank God for His favour. We got a contract from the Antonio Rudiger Foundation to make backpacks, pencil cases and gift boxes for thirty (30) Sierra Leonean children. Antonio Rüdiger used his World Cup earnings to sponsor the surgery of 30 children suffering from club feet . He not only paid for their surgeries, he treated them to gift boxes to make them feel special. The gift boxes were filled with goodies of "made in Sierra Leone " products. We at Shepor feel happy, humbled and proud to have been considered. To promote pride in the "made in Sierra Leone " brand, we need people like Rudiger who give opportunities to SHEPOR and other Sierra Leonean brands. Thanks to Rudiger for believing in us.

We are pleased to inform those of you that have been asking about our signature comb jewelry pieces, that they are currently in production. It is not an easy process, but the results will be worth the wait. Whilst you wait, here are some interesting facts about bronze.

1. The oldest bronze artifacts known in West Africa were manufactured centuries before the emergence of other known bronze producing centers were found in Benin.

2. Bronze casting, was first developed into an art in West Africa during the period corresponding to the Middle Ages in European history.

3. Bronze is an alloy made of copper and tin, has a lovely warm golden color, and is an affordable alternative to 10 or 14k gold. Brass is very similar to bronze, but has a more yellow tone. Bronze and brass are durable, easy to clean, and will last for decades with proper care

4.Bronze is used in jewelery making because it has the most beautiful rich luster, and is the closest color comparison to gold, making it a popular metal choice for many designers to work with.

So when you buy your SHEPOR bronze pieces, just remember you have a piece that will outlive you that can be passed on to future generations!!!

The mini bag, micro bag, tiny bag, tiny purse – whatever you choose to call it, represents smaller versions of their full-sized sisters. Mini bags have popped up everywhere . They are seen on the runways Fashion Weeks and have proved to be a girl's companion on nights out, weddings and parties.
The mini bags came on the fashion scene in 2017, though the trend actually goes back several decades to the 60s to compliment the mini skirts of the time.
We unveil our version of the " mini bag" under our " Viva Raffia" collection and we choose to name her " Smollet".

The humble raffia bag is made from the processed leaves of the Raphia Farinifera palm (commonly known as Raffia Palm).

Many people remember using the raffia bag as a school bag that was used to carry their lunch , texts and exercise books.
On the cultural front, raffia was and still used in creating elaborate regalia for dancers and masquerades.

Today, the humble raffia bag is an inspiration and medium through which designers of accessories, clothes and furniture express their creativity.

For this reason, we have created a collection called the " Viva Raffia!!" in celebration of this beautiful eco friendly fiber . This time , we dub our exquisite piece, " the masquerade " inspired by the flowy movement of raffia skirts used on our traditional masquerades. "The Masquerade " is a show piece used to make a statement. It has room enough to carry your essentials - phone, lipstick, and perfume . The SHEPOR symbol depicts a wooden comb. It is a symbol of femininity, as well as love and care. It also represents good hygiene and being well groomed. The wooden comb was found in all homes. Women used it to comb their hair, to define lines when plaiting and also as a decorative hair accessory. We at SHEPOR draw inspiration from this prized possession and own it to bring you a blend of our culture and modernity.
