Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes inflammation and ulcers (sores) in your digestive tract. Ulcerative colitis affects the innermost lining of your large intestine (colon) and re**um. Symptoms usually develop over time including :
Diarrhea, often with blood or pus
Abdominal pain and cramping
Re**al pain
Re**al bleeding — passing small amount of blood with stool
Urgency to defecate
Inability to defecate despite urgency
Weight loss
Fatigue
Fever
There are usually 4 types based on the location:
*1.Ulcerative Proctitis*
*2.Procto-Sigmoiditis*
*3.Left sided colitis*
*4.Pancolitis*
