Cacao Elegguá

Cacao Elegguá A cocoa agroforestry project situated in Kenema, Sierra Leone. The aspiration of the project is to implement best practices in cocoa plantation. My name is Des.

Cacao Elegguá is a cocoa agroforestry farm initiative that has taken root in Kenema, Sierra Leone. The vision is to serve the local community and ultimately, to improve the reputation of cocoa farming in Sierra Leone and Africa as a whole. I was born in London, England, I spent my formative years, from 4 to 19 years between Sierra Leone and Nigeria. I have been involved with the food industry initially in my mum’s restaurant in Nigeria, and later by co-owning a restaurant in the UK. I then studied naturopathic nutrition, which was aimed at using food as medicine as said by Hippocrates “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”.

Skills development and capacity building is a very important aspect of any farming sector and fish farming is no exception. We at Agro Fish Farm have made it our mission to empower present fish and future fish farmers in Sierra Leone and Africa at large. So that they will improve on their productivity as well as livelihood, which helps reduce food poverty and other forms of poverty. We are accepting applications for our 3 batch of training on fish farming For more information WhatsApp the number on the flyer or emails us @ agrofishfarm2017@gmail.com
