🌟 Historic Achievement for SOGA 🌟
Alhamdulillah!
On 12th February 2026, during the 50th KOGS Congress in Mombasa, Kenya, the Somali Obstetricians and Gynecologists Association (SOGA) officially became a proud member of FIGO – the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics.
This is a great milestone and international recognition for our association and for Somalia.
I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to all members of SOGA for this remarkable achievement.
Special thanks and appreciation to our President, Dr. Hafsa, who personally represented SOGA at the congress, together with Dr. Naima, member of SOGA. Your dedication, leadership, and commitment made this success possible.
Becoming a member of FIGO opens many important opportunities for collaboration, education, training, and global partnership that will strengthen our efforts to improve maternal and reproductive health services in Somalia.
