Founded by Paul Dallaghan and Jutima Chombhubutr, Samahita Retreat was established with a specific purpose in mind-as a venue for practicing yoga and learning healthy and positive living habits. As such, it provides an ideal environment in which to learn, experience, and practice the lessons imparted in our yoga retreats and courses. At Samahita Retreat we cultivate a friendly, comfortable environment that allows guests to be social or private, according to their liking. With excellent facilities at their disposal, guests have the option of engaging in a variety of practices, wellness retreats and treatments during their stay. Our facilities include a yoga shala, a meditation garden, a wellness center and treatment rooms, an herbal steam room, a saltwater swimming pool, a lounge, a restaurant that serves delicious vegetarian cuisine, a full juice bar, and a boutique. We have made a special effort to maintain eco-friendly standards throughout the entire property. Samahita Retreat lies on the south coast of Koh Samui, a tropical island in the Gulf of Thailand that has long stretches of pristine beaches and unspoiled land. Only about an hour away from Bangkok by air, an hour plus from Singapore, and three hours from Hong Kong, Samui has the allure of a remote island paradise but with the accessibility of the region’s most popular destinations. Samahita Retreat is a dedicated center with a strong purpose: to provide a place in which to practice balanced and healthy living in all areas of our life! Our aim is to share this way of life with others. YogaCoreCycle This is Samahita Retreat’s all-inclusive yoga and fitness holiday option, which includes accommodation, food, yoga, fitness-core and cardio, meditation and breath work. YogaCoreCycle divides the sessions into focused areas for body, breath, and mind.

– Dedicated Yoga sessions involve meditation and breath work followed by foundational and grounding yoga pose classes.

– Core combines functional fitness, core and strength work with TRXs, Bosus, stability balls, Uggis and more to work all muscle groups of the body in a unique fitness combo.

– Our dynamic Cycle classes combine fun, music and cardio in a high intensity sea-view work out. The combined focus and effort serves to highlight mental and physical stability, strength training, balance, agility, weight loss and cardio in one fully integrated health and fitness program. The best part – it’s all open and optional. You can choose to take all of the classes, or select those that suit you depending on your time, interest and energy. All of our YogaCoreCycle classes have been designed to offer benefits whether taken individually or as part of the whole program. The schedule is open enough to allow you to take the cycle class, breath and meditation and still put in full time on your yoga practice. Each day we offer a 30-minute breath work class to get you connected to the breath as a meditation and foundation for all your practices. In the afternoons there are relaxing restorative yoga classes. We recommend starting YogaCoreCycle on Saturday (Check in time is 2pm) as we plan the classes for the week. However, as a Flexi-Date Program, you can start these any day of the week. YogaCoreCycle is our foundation Flexi-Date Program. If you would like to also enjoy the benefits of Total Self-Care or a Brain Health Upgrade then by selecting one of those programs you are still able to attend all classes but with the added focus on wellness. Group Yoga Retreats Join a highly experienced yoga teacher for a dedicated program and increased focus on your yoga practice, whether starting or growing it. The perfect opportunity to go deeper, learn more, improve practice. You will find these listed under specific dates at different times of the year. Yoga Teacher Training A global leader in training teachers and deepening students’ practice since 1999 these highly accredited training programs from Centered Yoga, a month long residential program available on certain dates throughout the year. Life isn’t a straight line. It’s curves, pulses, and wiggles.

Nature wiggles. Our bodies wiggle. Even each yoga pose is a rhythm of grounding, extending, and moving. When we try to force life into boxes, it only creates frustration. But when we move with the rhythm of things, joy returns.

It’s important that we practice honoring that rhythm. Letting the body breathe, pulse, and flow the way nature designed.

Cold plunging is everywhere right now, but the idea that you need ice-cold water to get benefits isn’t the full story. Women respond to cold very differently from men, and the science shows that extreme cold can actually push the female system into stress rather than resilience.

The real sweet spot for most women sits around 14–15°C. Cool enough to wake up your mind, boost mood, support metabolism, and build inner strength, without overwhelming your nervous system.

If you’re training hard, slightly cooler temperatures can help with recovery. If you’re plunging for overall health and energy, moderate cold is the smarter choice.

Our natural state is happiness, but somewhere along the way we start worrying about what others think and forget the simple magic of a smile.

Smile when you walk, when you talk, when you’re alone. Smile even when your heart is heavy, because as Chaplin wrote, “You’ll find that life is still worthwhile if you just smile.”

Each day we offer a 30-minute breath work class to get you connected to the breath as a meditation and foundation for all your practices. In the afternoons there are relaxing restorative yoga classes. We recommend starting YogaCoreCycle on Saturday (Check in time is 2pm) as we plan the classes for the week. However, as a Flexi-Date Program, you can start these any day of the week. YogaCoreCycle is our foundation Flexi-Date Program. If you would like to also enjoy the benefits of detox, weight loss, wellness spa or de-stress then by selecting one of those programs you are still able to attend all classes but with the added focus on diet and therapies. Wellness Spa Our Standard and Complete Wellness Spa programs offer you the finest therapeutic experience, yoga and healthy eating. Specialized, holistic treatments include Water Irrigation Treatment, Shirodhara, Abhyanga, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Chi Nei Tsang and Remedial Ultrasound.
