Palm Center is thankful to attend the 58:12 Equip Conference this week! Here are some of the lessons we’ve learned so far:

🩵 Leadership is about service and sacrifice, rather than power and position.
🩵 To have a healthy soul, you have to practice soul care. Rest, turn off devices, and have the courage to say no.
🩵 Words only account for a small portion of communication; tone of voice and body language say much more.
🩵 Trust is like a bridge. It takes a long time to build, but collapses in a moment.
🩵 Learn to listen to understand. People need to feel heard!

Two of our team are in Chiangmai for a two week Christian counseling training! 🌿 They are learning so much, and enjoying meeting new friends and making connections. Thank you to Christian Counseling Association of Thailand for providing this opportunity! 🩵

What do you think of this quote? If you are in a romantic relationship, it can be tempting to assume that love is focusing all your attention on the other person, such as what you can do for them, or how they make you happy. However, healthy romantic relationships prioritize partnership. This looks like walking side by side towards shared goals or common vision. It is being strong for one another and helping each other up to keep going together when the other feels weak or hopeless. 💞

One way to prioritize partnership together is couples counseling. If you would like help establishing healthier communication, processing hurts, or setting common goals, please reach out to us to see if counseling could be the next right step for you! 🩵

October 10 is World Mental Health Day. 🧠🌱❤️‍🩹 While it is common to visit a doctor for help with physical sickness, seeking relief for mental health symptoms is often overlooked. For people in emergencies, such as Thai soldiers at the Cambodian border, or refugees fleeing war-torn Myanmar, physical wounds can be attended to and healed, but mental health trauma that is not addressed can last a lifetime.

Mental health support is not a luxury — it’s a necessity. By raising awareness and promoting access to trauma-informed mental health care, we can help communities recover and rebuild. Join us today by donating to Palm Center so we can continue to offer counseling services free of charge! 🩵

✨Volunteer Need✨

We are looking for a caring English speaking volunteer to join us in Thailand! 🩵 Here is what we primarily need help with:

* Outreach (in nightlife entertainment areas, along the beach, and home and community visitations)
* Connection (with other foundations, government organizations, ministries, etc.)
* Assisting in Christian discipleship and groups programs
* English administration

If you have a heart for the vulnerable and are passionate about mental health ministry, if you are willing to learn Thai language and culture, and if you are able to commit for 3 months or more, please reach out to us at info@palmcenterthailand.com! 🙏
