What an incredible week at 𝗔𝗣𝗖𝗖𝗠𝗜 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 in Bangkok! The energy and knowledge-sharing within the Asia-Pacific clinical microbiology community were truly inspiring.

Team Bruker MID was thrilled to connect with so many of you. The high level of interaction at our booth from deep-dive sessions on our MALDI Biotyper® to exploring the future of IR Biotyper® was phenomenal.

We are proud to be your partner in the fight against infectious diseases. The conference may be over, but our mission continues. We're excited to build on the momentum and keep driving innovation in microbial identification and fast traceability for clinical hygiene.

𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱.

𝘑𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘶𝘮 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘮 is a purple-pigmented bacterium known for producing 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗶𝗻, a natural compound with strong 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. Found on the skin of amphibians, it plays a protective role in their defense against deadly fungal infections.

Today, scientists are exploring how this microbe and the violacein it produces can be used in antimicrobial therapies and biocontrol applications.
Recent research even investigates how extracellular vesicles from 𝘑. 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘮 can serve as natural delivery systems for violacein, opening new doors for non-antibiotic treatments.
