On 9 Jan 2023, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTD : https://www.nstda.or.th) engaged Hatyai Hospital (https://www.hatyaihospital.go.th/) to Arcadia Software to discuss about Arcadia Smart-CSSD/MDC platform. Arcadia engineers presented what and benefits of having this medical tech platform in the hospitals.

Additionally, Hatyai Hospital is interested in RFID technologies in medical tech usage which Arcadia engineers are expert on it.
Smart CSSD platform is the medical platform which solves all CSSD's pain-point about the completeness and correctness of the surgical equipment set before and after surgery. The platform consists of both hardware and software on cloud. The followings are the samples of CSSD pain-points which the platform will solve:

- Reduce the human errors during arranging the surgical equipment sets for all kinds of surgery types.

- Notify the expired surgical equipment sets after sterilization process.

- Reduce the chances of surgical equipment loss.

On 21 Dec 2022, Arcadia engineers visited Rayong Hospital (https://rayonghospital.go.th/) to demonstrate and discuss about Arcadia Smart-CSSD/MDC platform (https://www.smartcssd.com). Their physician team was actively throwing questions and answers during the session.

The adoption will be started with bigger medical devices in Arcadia Smart-MDC platform first and the surgical instruments in will be the next in Arcadia Smart-CSSD platform. Rayong Hospital has offered to be another reference hospital for this medical platform with some conditions. We are also happy with their conditions to boost up to scale the platform more and more.

As a medical tech partner of Murata (https://www.murata.com/), we both are driving new technologies in term of healthcare to Thailand medical community. Murata takes care of healthcare devices and Arcadia Software takes care of applying those healthcare devices to medical software system/platform.

On Mon 19 Sep 2022, Piyavej Hospital, Arcadia Software and Murata (https://www.murata.com/) had a discussion about Arcadia Smart-CSSD-MDC platform to use in the hospital.

The starting point is potentially sterilized medical clothes (Heat Sterilization: 125 ºC for 15-20 minutes, Water Extraction Pressure: 60 bar). After reviewing their work flow for medical cloth recycling with sterilization process, the work flow is almost 100% the same as surgical equipment in sterlization process.

Next week, we shall discuss more in the next step about looking for the UHF RFID tag attached with the medical clothes to register into Arcadia Smart-CSSD-MDC platform.

On Fri 23 Sep 2022, Arcadia Software went to Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital to demonstrate Arcadia Smart-CSSD-MDC platform. The Thonburi Hospital medical team joined the session with a lot of question and answer during 3-hours demonstration.

This was to make sure that this innovative medical tech platform with advance RFID technologies can help Central Sterilize Service Department (CSSD) and Medical Device Center (MDC) in their hospital.

On 17 Sep 2022, Arcadia Smart-CSSD platform was on stage again after passing into the final 8-teams round in the event of the 4th World Patient Safety Day : Medication Safety (https://www.bangkokbiznews.com/health/public-health/1026230). The recent enhancement of Smart-CSSD platform v2.0.0 to support Medical Device Center (MDC) was nominated into this competition.
Fort Chiraprawat Hospital is the hospital which has closely worked with Arcadia Software for Smart-CSSD platform since 2020. Arcadia Smart-CSSD platform was originated from 2PSafety Tech hackathon event in 2022 (https://www.ha.or.th/TH/Contents/2P%20Safety%20Tech) which Arcadia engineers were an innovator on behalf of NSTDA (https://www.nstda.or.th) for government hospitals.
Until now, not only surgical instruments used in Central Sterilize Service Department (CSSD) but also the medical devices in Medical Device Center (MDC) can be used in Smart-CSSD platform after our recent enhancements.

Last week, the new Arcadia Smart-CSSD platform has been released to production to support Medical Device Center (MDC) in the hospital.

Thus, not only CSSD work but also MDC work in the hospital which Arcadia Smart-CSSD platform can be supported in one single SaaS platform

Any existing medical user who need to use MDC in your hospital, please upgrade your Smart-CSSD Android mobile application (download from Google Play as usual). Your SaaS server on cloud has been automatically and seamlessly upgraded since last week.

Fort Chiraprawat Hospital hospital which currently use Arcadia Smart-CSSD platform, had sent us the in-use wisdom tooth surgery instrument set (ชุดผ่าฟันคุด) for implantation process.
Last week, we sent them back the instrument set with implanting the RFID tag on their surface. The hospital has scaled more and more to enable their surgical instruments on the Smart-CSSD platform.

Exactly, this wisdom tooth surgery instrument set (ชุดผ่าฟันคุด) is now on-board in the Smart-CSSD platform.

During 29-30 Aug 2022, Fort Chiraprawat Hospital (https://home.chiraprawat.com/) arranged the hands-on training class to their medical team for utilizing Arcadia Smart CSSD and Smart MDC platform.

This innovative medical tech platform is being scaled to several government hospitals in Thailand. Right now, not only surgical instruments are used in Central Sterilize Service Department (CSSD) but also Medical Device Center (MDC) can be used with our medical tech.

Arcadia Smart-CSSD platform (https://www.smartcssd.com/welcome-to-smart-cssd/en) is now used in the hospitals, not only for Central Sterilize Service Department (CSSD) in term of surgical equipment arrangement purpose, but also for Medical Device Center (MDC) purpose. The RFID tag sticker with 900 MHz are attached on the surface of the 1,600 medical devices in Fort Chiraprawat Hospital.
