As part of our M4M Monthly Series 📅, we hosted a powerful session on “Indigenous Wellbeing & Mental Health, and the Importance of Indigenous Healing Practices” on 9th August 2025.
The session was presented by Safal Lama – a q***r disability rights activist with an Indigenous background and a mental health practitioner from Nepal 🇳🇵 with deep knowledge of traditional healing systems and a healing-centered approach.
Moderated by Ms. Situ Shrestha Technically supported by Aadesh Sangraula and the M4M Monthly Series Team – Sandip Paul & Jamyang Pelmo.
In recognition of International Youth Day and International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, both of which celebrate local knowledge 📚 and empowerment ✊, we honored how Indigenous knowledge systems, lived experiences, and the powerful role of cultural healing support mental wellbeing.
👏 A heartfelt thank you to all participants for your active engagement, and congratulations to the team 🎉 for leading such an impactful session! Together, we continue to advocate for mental health awareness and holistic wellbeing.
