As part of our M4M Monthly Series 📅, we hosted a powerful session on “Indigenous Wellbeing & Mental Health, and the Importance of Indigenous Healing Practices” on 9th August 2025.

The session was presented by Safal Lama – a q***r disability rights activist with an Indigenous background and a mental health practitioner from Nepal 🇳🇵 with deep knowledge of traditional healing systems and a healing-centered approach.

Moderated by Ms. Situ Shrestha Technically supported by Aadesh Sangraula and the M4M Monthly Series Team – Sandip Paul & Jamyang Pelmo.

In recognition of International Youth Day and International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, both of which celebrate local knowledge 📚 and empowerment ✊, we honored how Indigenous knowledge systems, lived experiences, and the powerful role of cultural healing support mental wellbeing.

👏 A heartfelt thank you to all participants for your active engagement, and congratulations to the team 🎉 for leading such an impactful session! Together, we continue to advocate for mental health awareness and holistic wellbeing.

On behalf of Me For Myself (M4M), & YPEER Asia Pacific Center our team member Fura Sherpa represented the organization at the “Denver START One Day 2025 Conference: Shared Systems, Connected Solutions held on Thursday, June 26, 2025”.

It was a valuable learning experience to gain deeper insight into the Denver START program at Rocky Mountain Human Services (RMHS), which offers timely and accessible crisis mental health care for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Denver, USA . The conference highlighted the urgent need for appropriate mental health support, as individuals with I/DD often face misdiagnosis or under-diagnosis of their mental health or behavioral challenges. We extend our sincere thanks to RMHS for this meaningful opportunity.

This year’s theme “Empowering young people to create the families they want in a fair and hopeful world” reminds us that when youth are informed, supported, and empowered, they can build the future they envision.
Let’s work together to create a world where every young person has the right and the means to choose freely.

As part of our monthly series, we held a session on "Digital Wellness: Balancing Screen Time and Mental Health". The session was presented by Saika Sarwar from Bangladesh, and technically supported by our M4M Monthly Series team: Sandip K Paul and Aadesh Sangraula. The session took place on 31st May 2025.

In today’s hyper-connected world, digital tools have become deeply embedded in our daily routine from studying and working to socializing and relaxing. While these technologies offer convenience and connectivity, excessive screen time and digital overload can lead to increased stress, anxiety, disrupted sleep, and feelings of isolation.

That’s why digital wellness is more important than ever. This session focused on how we can build healthier relationships with our devices, recognize the signs of digital fatigue, and develop habits that support our mental and emotional well-being. From mindful usage to setting boundaries, small changes in our digital behavior can lead to significant improvements in our overall health.

👏 A huge thank you to all the participants for their active engagement, and congratulations to the team for successfully leading this impactful session! Together, we continue to advocate for mental health awareness and well-being 💙🌍

This World Environment Day 2025, Y-PEER Bangladesh urges a deeper reflection on the hidden casualties of climate change. As environmental hazards escalate, it's often women and girls who bear the heaviest burden.

Our artwork depicts a grim reality: compromised access to clinics, unsafe conditions, and a severe lack of essential health services, including SRHR and menstrual hygiene management. These are not just inconveniences; they are threats to life, health, and fundamental human rights.

We must build a future where environmental sustainability and gender equality go hand-in-hand. True climate resilience ensures that the health and rights of women and girls are protected, especially in times of crisis.

What steps can we take, collectively and individually, to address this critical intersection?
