Every sample tested contained multiple mycotoxins in Oct 2025. Elevated aflatoxin levels in groundnut — primarily caused by the warm underground soils where peanuts ripen, which lead to insect damage through micro-cracks that allow toxins to enter.

This resulted in high contamination levels in layer feeds, while animal by-products remain unaffected. High AFLA levels pose risks to farmed animals consuming these feeds, potentially causing reduced feed conversion rates, diarrhea, and various metabolic problems. Thus, consistent feed material monitoring for mycotoxins is advised.

Setiap sampel yang diuji pada Oktober 2025 mengandung berbagai jenis mikotoksin. Tingginya kadar aflatoksin ditemukan pada produk kacang tanah — terutama disebabkan oleh kondisi bawah bawah yang hangat saat kacang matang, sehingga memicu kerusakan akibat serangga melalui retakan mikro yang memungkinkan toksin masuk.

Hal ini mengakibatkan tingkat kontaminasi yang tinggi pada pakan layer, sementara animal by-products tidak terpengaruh. Kadar AFLA yang tinggi berisiko bagi hewan ternak yang mengonsumsi pakan tersebut, berpotensi menyebabkan penurunan konversi pakan, diare, dan berbagai masalah metabolisme. Oleh karena itu, pemantauan bahan pakan terhadap mikotoksin secara konsisten sangat disarankan.
