We were pleased to welcome representatives from the Global Seafood Alliance (GSA) to NSF’s Bangkok office on February 13 for a productive discussion on enhancing export standards for small shrimp farms across ASEAN.
Joining the visit were Mr. Ken Corpron, Program Integrity Analyst, and Ms. Rachaneewan Khamman, Country Coordinator – Thailand. The discussion focused on practical approaches to strengthen compliance, improve farm-level standards, and support small producers in accessing global markets.
NSF has long collaborated with GSA to advance responsible seafood practices through education, assessments and audits, including certification programmes such as:
• Best Seafood Practices Certification (BSP) for wild-caught fisheries
• Best Aquaculture Practices Certification (BAP) for farm-raised seafood
We look forward to continued collaboration to elevate seafood standards across the region.
