วันที่ 17 พฤศจิกายน 2568 สถาบันเพื่อการวิจัยและนวัตกรรมด้านเอชไอวี (IHRI) ร่วมกับมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติสิงคโปร์ จัดประชุม “คณะที่ปรึกษาชุมชน ครั้งที่ 1” ภายใต้โครงการ Promoting Community Engagement for Clinical Trials in Asia ณ โรงแรมแมนดาริน กรุงเทพฯ เพื่อร่วมออกแบบแนวทางการทำงานของคณะที่ปรึกษาชุมชนในประเทศไทย และเสริมสร้างการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนในงานวิจัยทางคลินิกและการวิจัยด้านสุขภาพอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
การประชุมครั้งนี้เป็นเวทีสำคัญที่เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้แทนจากผู้เข้าร่วมวิจัย ภาคประชาชน ภาคบริการสุขภาพ และหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงพลังของการมีส่วนร่วมที่หลากหลายซึ่งมีบทบาทสำคัญต่อการขับเคลื่อนงานวิจัยทางคลินิก
คณะที่ปรึกษาชุมชนได้ร่วมกันหารือประเด็นสำคัญ อาทิ การทำความเข้าใจความต้องการของชุมชนและนักวิจัย การเพิ่มความตระหนักเพื่อเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจและการสนับสนุนของชุมชนต่อการวิจัยทางคลินิก การร่วมออกแบบงานวิจัยผ่านการปรึกษากับชุมชน การสนับสนุนสิทธิและสวัสดิภาพของผู้เข้าร่วมวิจัย รวมถึงการสะท้อนมุมมองของชุมชน เพื่อให้การดำเนินงานวิจัยมีความครอบคลุมรอบด้าน การประชุมครั้งนี้จึงเป็นมากกว่าการเริ่มต้นคณะทำงานใหม่ แต่เป็นก้าวสำคัญของการขับเคลื่อนการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนในงานวิจัยทางคลินิกและการวิจัยด้านสุขภาพอย่างแท้จริงและยั่งยืน
โครงการฯ นี้ดำเนินการภายใต้ความร่วมมือระหว่างสิงคโปร์ ไทย ไต้หวัน และมาเลเซีย เพื่อร่วมสร้างเครือข่ายคณะที่ปรึกษาชุมชนในระดับภูมิภาค ซึ่งจะมีบทบาทสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างศักยภาพและสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานด้านการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนในงานวิจัยทางคลินิกและการวิจัยด้านสุขภาพในระยะยาว
On 17 November 2025, the Institute of HIV Research and Innovation (IHRI), in collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS), organized the first Community Advisory Group (CAG) meeting under the project Promoting Community Engagement for Clinical Trials in Asia at the Mandarin Hotel, Bangkok.
The meeting aimed to co-develop the working framework for the Community Advisory Group in Thailand and strengthen meaningful community engagement in clinical trials. It also served as an important platform for research participants, community representatives, healthcare providers, and government agencies to share their experiences, highlighting the essential role of diverse participation in advancing clinical trials.
The CAG discussed several key topics, including identifying gaps to better understand the needs of communities and researchers, improving public awareness and support for clinical trials, co-designing research through community consultation, safeguarding participants’ rights and wellbeing, and reflecting community perspectives. These discussions demonstrate that the meeting was not only the launch of a new advisory group, but also a meaningful step toward strengthening community engagement within clinical trials.
This project is a regional collaboration between Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Malaysia to establish a regional Community Advisory Group network. The network will play an important role in building capacity and supporting long-term community engagement in clinical trials, contributing to outcomes that are truly beneficial and sustainable for communities across the region.
