To All CoRN 2025 Participants, Colleagues, and Members of Our Academic Community

We are aware of the current situation at the border of Thailand and understand that it may raise concerns for everyone.

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that CoRN 2025 will take place as planned in the center of Bangkok, which remains a safe and secure location. The safety and well-being of our participants remain our top priority, and we are closely monitoring the situation with local authorities and partners.

As we navigate these challenging times, it is important to reaffirm our commitment to the values of equity, inclusion, and mutual respect. We stand firm against any form of discrimination, hate, or harassment, and we are dedicated to creating a safe and respectful environment for all participants.

If you have any concerns or need any more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the organizing team.

With gratitude and solidarity,
The CoRN 2025 Organizing Team

Ever wondered if your red is the same as someone else’s red?

We’re excited to introduce our keynote speaker for CoRN 2025, Sascha Benjamin Fink, who revisits the classic inverted spectrum theory to question how similar our inner experiences truly are: Can two people under the same circumstances have completely different inner experiences?

If you want to learn more about Dr. Sascha Fink and his proposal, go and take a look at our article by Payachana Victoria Chareunsouk.

This article was made possible through the collaboration between Department of Philosophy, Chulalongkorn University , and the CCCN Lab, Faculty of Medicine, under the auspices of Chulalongkorn University.

Ever closed your eyes and pictured a beach — only to realize some people can’t picture anything at all? Mental imagery shapes our thoughts, feelings, and even our perception of reality, yet not everyone experiences it the same way.

Dr. Joel Pearson explores how the mind generates images, why some people lack them entirely (aphantasia), and how unconscious imagery shapes what we see and feel.

Ever found yourself drifting off in thought—only to snap back into the present? That moment of distraction is what psychologists call mind-wandering.
While it might seem unproductive, mind-wandering actually serves a purpose—and Professor Jonathan Schooler has spent years uncovering its mysteries.

What is it like to be you, right now?
A spotlight on the stage of the mind.
Memories, senses, meaning—all performing.

But what if the stage breaks?
When chaos floods in and nothing makes sense?

“All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages.”
