Vejthani Wattanavipa Hospital welcomed a team from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Department of Public Works and Environment, who conducted an on-site inspection to ensure environmental compliance across the project.

As part of the assessment, random checks of “black smoke emissions” from vehicles operating within the project were carried out to closely monitor and minimize any potential impact on the surrounding community.

A Major Milestone for Vejthani Wattanavipa Hospital Toward International Green Building Standards

The project has been carefully designed and constructed in accordance with International Green Building standards and has applied for LEED Gold Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), a globally recognized green building benchmark from the United States.

This initiative aims to enhance environmental quality for the benefit of patients, healthcare professionals, and the surrounding community.

One of the key steps in this process is the Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), conducted by an independent third-party expert in compliance with ASTM standards (American Society for Testing and Materials), as required by LEED.

The assessment includes a review of historical land-use data, on-site inspections, and laboratory testing of soil samples.

The results confirmed that:

Noise generated by plant rooms, mechanical systems, and overhead structures has been thoroughly analyzed, with appropriate sound-absorbing solutions applied to ensure a calm environment.

🔹 Advanced sound control for air-conditioning systems (Air Ducts)
Dedicated acoustic zoning has been implemented to minimise airflow noise and vibration, preventing disturbance to treatment areas and patient resting spaces.
