Still experiencing aches and pains even after physio? 🤕
Your body may still be compensating during movement.
Our Start Smart assessment helps identify how your body manages movement and load — so you can rebuild strength with better support. New clients receive 10% OFF their first Start Smart session. 👉 Click the link to Start Smart https://zfrmz.com/O9hcvol46vXi4aiSQcu2

At 50+, recovery is different.

Your joints have history.
Your muscles have patterns.
Your body has compensation built over decades.

This is why random mobility drills and short “fix your pain” videos often don’t create lasting change.

It’s not that exercises don’t work.
It’s that the wrong starting point delays progress.

Clarity should come first!

Before strengthening.
Before stretching.
Before loading.

Because when you understand:

• What your body is compensating for
• Where stability is missing
• How load is being distributed

Then the right exercises actually work.

At 50+, it’s not about doing more.
It’s about doing what’s appropriate.

If you feel stiff, limited, or stuck in recurring pain,
start with assessment.

Start Smart.

Is Pilates good for back pain?
Sometimes.
But not because it’s Pilates.

Back pain improves when:
• Your posture is assessed
• Your load capacity is respected
• Exercises are sequenced correctly

Before starting any exercise program, understand your body’s readiness.

Most people start thinking about longevity after something goes wrong.

A fall.
Persistent pain.
Loss of confidence.

The Longevity Readiness Check is designed to begin earlier.

It is a structured session where we assess:

• Strength
• Balance
• Posture
• Breathing
• Movement control

This is not about pushing harder.

It is about understanding how well your body is prepared to stay strong, stable, and independent in the years ahead.

If you are over 40 and want clarity about where you stand,

DM “Longevity” and we’ll share the details.

If you already have ongoing pain or limitations, private assessment may be the more appropriate starting point.

Most people begin thinking about longevity after something fails.

A fall.
Persistent pain.
Loss of confidence.

Decline begins earlier than most people realise.

Grip strength reduces.
Balance becomes less steady.
Posture shifts forward.
Recovery slows.

You are still functioning.
But capacity may already be shrinking.

The Longevity Readiness Check is designed to identify these early changes before they become obvious problems.

This is not an exercise class.
It is a structured session where we assess:
• Strength
• Balance
• Posture
• Breathing
• Movement control

If you are over 40 and want clarity about where you stand,

DM “Longevity” and we will guide you through the next step.

If you already have ongoing pain or limitations, private assessment may be the more appropriate starting point.

Longevity isn’t about adding years.
It’s about protecting how you live those years.

Most people focus on lifespan.
Very few protect their healthspan.

Healthspan determines:
• how well you move
• how steadily you balance
• how quickly you recover
• how independent you remain

That’s what our Longevity Readiness Check is about.
Not intensity.
Not trends.
Not pushing harder.

But understanding how ready your body is for the years ahead.

If longevity matters to you,
DM “Longevity” and we’ll share the details.

Pelvic floor symptoms often worsen when:
• movement is introduced before coordination is restored
• breathing and pressure aren’t supported
• the body compensates instead of organising

If exercise made your symptoms worse,
It doesn’t mean you failed.

It usually means your body wasn’t ready for the load.

That’s why doing more can sometimes make things feel less stable.

Would you prefer a softer start
and still build real strength?

Kegels don’t fix pelvic floor problems.
And no, that doesn’t mean pelvic floor strength doesn’t matter.

It means contraction alone isn’t the issue.

If posture is misaligned
If breathing isn’t coordinated
If pressure isn’t managed by the body
the pelvic floor can contract, but it won’t hold when you move.

That’s why many women (and men):
do Kegels correctly
follow instructions
try harder
and still experience leaking, heaviness, or disconnection.

For those with diastasis recti, rebuilding this coordination can feel especially frustrating.

What’s needed first is a clear process:
🩺 assess how the body is managing pressure
💪 re-establish coordination between breath, core, and pelvic floor
🚴 reintroduce movement in a way the system can support

This is the foundation that allows strengthening to work.

Your body deserves support, not silence.

Leaking when you sneeze, laugh, or jump is not a strength problem.
It’s usually a connection and coordination problem.

After pregnancy, surgery, stress, or years of compensation, the pelvic floor often loses it's
connection with breathing
timing with movement
role within the whole system

So even when the muscles are there, they don’t respond when needed.

The first steps are to
identify what’s not connecting
restore coordination
and relearn timing during simple movements

Only then does strengthening actually work.

If you’ve tried resting, exercising, and different routines — and still feel unsure — you’re not alone.

That usually means you’ve been given options, not direction.

Clarity comes before confidence.

This is how we help people find the right starting point at Abbysan.

Wanting to keep moving doesn’t mean ignoring your body.

Longevity is about moving in a way your body can support — now and in the years ahead.

When movement quality improves, everything else follows.

This is the perspective we bring to Pilates and movement at Abbysan.
