Downward Dog 🤍
A shape we return to again and again – simple, steady, strong.
This posture helps to lengthen the spine, open the back of the legs, and release tension from the shoulders and neck. It strengthens the arms and wrists, tones the core, and brings gentle circulation to the brain – calming the mind while energizing the body.
As you move into your Adho Mukha Svanasana
🖐 Hands: Press firmly through your palms, spreading your fingers wide to the ground and stabilize.
💪 Shoulders: Wrap your triceps down, letting the heart soften and opening space across the chest.
💛 Belly: Draw your navel gently in and up, supporting your spine and creating lightness through your center.
🦶Feet: Root your heels toward the earth, lengthening through calves and hamstrings with each exhale.
Downward Dog invites us to find balance between strength and surrender. A moment to pause, breathe deeply, and come home to the body that carries you through it all 🌿
