Sinuses are hollow spaces in your skull and face that connect to your nose. You have 4 pairs: near your cheekbones, between your eyes, on your forehead, and at the center of your skull. Like your nostrils, they're lined with a thin mucus membrane.

The sinuses are hollow spaces or airways located in the skull and facial bones, with openings into the nose.

𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 "𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫" 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭

A 73-year-old patient with end-stage kidney disease came in with chest pain, fatigue, and had fainted twice. Tests showed severe heart rhythm problems requiring a pacemaker.

The team originally planned a traditional pacemaker, but the patient's blocked blood vessels made that impossible. Instead, they used a new Leadless Pacemaker (LP) technology.

The procedure was successful with no complications. Unlike traditional pacemakers, there's no chest wound—just a tiny needle mark in the groin. The patient had minimal pain, needed no pain medication, and went home after just 2 days.

💓 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫?
🔹 A tiny device with a built-in battery that monitors your heartbeat:
🔹 Normal heart rhythm → device stays quiet
🔹 Slow or irregular rhythm → device sends gentle electrical signals to regulate it
🔹 MRI-compatible at 1.5T and 3.0T.

Key Benefits:
✅ Placed inside the heart, not under chest skin
✅ No visible scars or bumps
✅ Fewer post-surgery restrictions
✅ Most patients can be more active

Telemedicine isn't just video calls anymore—it's transforming how we deliver continuous cardiac care.

The Case: A patient with prior CABG surgery, NSTEMI, and heart failure (HFrEF) living on Koh Chang faced a challenge: traveling to see specialists was difficult, leading to recurring heart failure episodes.

How Telemedicine Helped:
✅ Continuous heart failure monitoring
✅ Medication reviews with cardiologists
✅ Immediate symptom assessment
✅ Reduced travel risks
✅ Expert care from Pattaya... while staying on the island

Patient's Words: "Telemedicine made accessing treatment in Pattaya so much easier. Less travel, more peace of mind knowing my doctors are always there."

💙 "Your heart needs continuous care—no matter where you are"
