Hand to Hand Foundation

Hand to Hand Foundation Hand to Hand works everyday, one child at a time to make a difference. Come stand with us and help make that difference one child at a time, today.

Kids Club
Every Saturday, around 30 to 40 children come to hear a story, play games and make a craft. These are the children that are enrolled in our scholarship program and attend school during the week. Most of them were on our Pre-School before they went to school. Scholarship
We currently have 45 children in our scholarship program, all of whom are fully supported by sponsors. Despite this there are many more awaiting help. Some of these children have not been to school for several years due to lack of finances. Family Care
Every Friday we reach out to the most needy people that live in the slums. We currently visit 31 families who live in a number of different slums. We provide food packages which consist of 2kg rice, two packets of noodles, cooking oil, fish oil, two tins of fish and a bar of soap. We also provide clothing and medicine when required. Pre-School
Hand to Hand’s pre-school is open every Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm and we currently have over 50 children enrolled. The school is free and provides food, education, clothing and medical needs for the students. Many of the children that attend spend more time at the centre than they do at home in the slums. Prison
We visit the prisons three times per week giving food and water to all the inmates. Many of these are illegal immigrants from neighbouring countries. We supply them with milk, medication, diapers and special treats. Clothing is also given to these people as well as assistance with minor medical needs. Hospital
Every week we visit the children's ward in the local government hospital where we visit a number of patients. We provide for their needs and pray for the children. We give out presents, diapers, colouring books, crayons and much more! The Crossing
The Crossing is a youth drop-in center and skate park currently located at Duck Square, behind Big C Pattaya Tai. The Crossing provides an alcohol and drug free place for youth to come and hang out. There is much more available than just skating you can also play pool, listen to music, play the Nintendo Wii or learn a musical instrument.

I ALWAYS DO

This week in preschool I learned the letter K and the Thai letter ฆ ระฆัง (Kor-Ra-Kang). My unit right now is Under the Sea, so I also learned about seaweed. It looks wiggly and funny in the water!
Every week I learn something new. But one thing is always the same… it is always fun here. There is never a boring moment.

My favorite part is when I walk through the big silver shiny gate that when you open it, it really squeaks loud.

The first thing I hear is someone saying “Hello!”
Then I hear something even better…
I hear my name.

And even when I try not to smile…

I ALWAYS DO

IMAGINE THAT

Today was a special day at Hand to Hand. We held our VERY FIRST AI class. This has been a vision for some time, and it was wonderful to finally see it begin.
The students had so much fun imagining anything they could think of. Then we took photos of each other, combined them, and turned our imagination into a video using AI.

Seeing the excitement, laughs, and creativity in the room was truly amazing.
This was only our first class, but it already feels like the beginning of something very special.
We want to use AI to give our young adults the opportunity in a technology that is here to stay......and will only get bigger and bigger....

FIRST TIME EVER

Yesterday we celebrated a couple of birthdays from February with a couple of our children at the preschool location. We waited to celebrate because two of the children, twins named MeeMee and MooMoo, had been sick earlier in the month. It was such a special moment for them. Celebrating a birthday like this is something very unusual in their lives. In fact, this was the first time they had ever had a birthday celebration.
MeMe and MooMoo are the cutest twins, and you could see how happy they were. At times they almost seemed unsure of what was happening, as all the fun, attention, and celebration was centered around them. Slowly they began to realize that the day was about them, and their smiles said everything.
Seeing them laugh, enjoy the cake, and be surrounded by friends made it a very special day for everyone.
This was their birthday celebration for the..........

FIRST TIME EVER

A special thank you to our February birthday sponsor from Canada, Yessenia De Pena, for helping make this celebration possible.

SMILES ALL AROUND

We had a team from Ireland visiting our children at the housing location, and what a wonderful day it was for everyone involved. From the moment they arrived, the place was filled with excitement and energy. There were games, laughter, and many different activities that the children were able to enjoy together. Smiles were everywhere as the kids ran, played, and spent time with the team. Moments like these are so special because they give the children a chance to simply be kids, to laugh freely, and to enjoy time with people who care about them. The team from Ireland brought so much joy and encouragement with them. It was clear that they came with open hearts, ready to spend time with the children and make the day memorable. By the end of the day, everyone was tired in the best possible way. The children had huge smiles on their faces, and there was a real sense of joy that stayed with everyone who was there.

We are very thankful for those who take the time to come, serve, and spend meaningful moments with the children. There were.....

NOW THAT'S TEAM WORK

One of our partners, Slum Kids Thailand, has been a tremendous blessing to the families we serve.

Through this partnership they regularly help provide items such as diapers, baby milk, colouring books and crayons, and other essential supplies that we are able to distribute through our slum outreach and hospital ministry. They provided the funds to purchase a water filtration system for a school so that they could have access to safe drinking water. Because of their generosity, we are also able to respond when families are facing difficult situations.
There are also moments when a need arises that requires something very specific. On one occasion, a baby in the hospital could not be released to the parents until a special medical machine was available for use at home. Slum Kids Thailand stepped in to help provide it, allowing that baby to finally go home with their family.
We are deeply grateful for this partnership and for the heart they have for the communities we serve.
Working together allows us to love people well and respond when real needs appear.......

THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE

We won’t make this a long post or repeat ourselves every week. Church happens every Saturday at 2pm.
Come. Come just as you are.
Our door, or maybe we should say our gate, is always open to you. You are welcome here.

You are accepted here, THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE

IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

We want to take a moment to say thank you to those who think about our children and show their care in practical ways. Your thoughtfulness does not go unnoticed. People like William often stops by with food items and little goodies for the children. The smiles on the children’s faces say it all.
What makes Hand to Hand special is that it is never just one person or one group. It is a collaboration. It is people working together, each doing their part to help care for these children.
So to those who quietly show up, bring food, share treats, or lend a helping hand, thank you for thinking about our children and for being part of what makes this place so special. Your generosity,

IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

ENCOURAGED TO GROW

This week at Hand to Hand Preschool, the children continued their learning with our Under the Sea theme while exploring the letter C in English and the Thai letter ฅ (ฅอ คน – khor khon).
One of the most beautiful things we see every week is how much the children love being here. When they arrive, many come in a little quiet or shy, but before long their smiles begin to appear, laughter fills the room, and they start opening up more and more. It is always special to watch their confidence grow as they feel safe, cared for, and free to simply be children. As they learned about sea animals and practiced their letters, their excitement and curiosity were easy to see. Moments like these remind us that preschool is not only about learning letters and sounds, but also about creating a place where children feel loved, welcomed, and.......

NO QUESTIONS ASKED

Our Family Support Ministry takes place at our housing location. Those who are able to come experience the heart of Hand to Hand firsthand. (pun intended)
They come, they hear a message of hope, and they have the opportunity to share their lives. Sometimes there are tears, sometimes laughter, but most importantly they are free to be themselves without fear of being judged.
When it's time for them to return home, they leave encouraged and refreshed. In their hands they carry bags of rice and whatever other food items we are able to provide at that time.
At the heart of it all is something very simple. It’s about loving people no matter what.......
