Does Endometrial Hyperplasia Lead to Infertility?

There are two main causes of Endometrial Hyperplasia 1. Natural endometrial hyperplasia 2. Endometrial Hyperplasia from stimulation

Whether Endometrial Hyperplasia affects fertility or not depends on the thickness of the endometrial line. A regular thickness should be at around 7-12 mm.

To start off, the first common cause of thick endometrium is anovulation or overstimulated endometrium. The second cause is that there are uterine fibroids in the uterus. The third cause, which is the most common one, is that there are uterine polyps in the endometrium, making the endometrial line look thicker.

Cause of endometrial hyperplasia varies. It could occur from anovulation, uterine fibroids, or uterine polyps. In addition, those who receive medication for uterus preparation, they might be too sensitive to the medication. To solve this problem, they might have to readjust the size or the level of medicine.

To be concise, the stated causes could lead to infertility and lower chance of embryo implantation.

However, to identify a suitable endometrium, it does not only depend on the thickness. We also need to focus on how it looks. The endometrium should be in a triple line pattern. Moreover, the endometrium should not be cloudy.

Another cause of endometrial stimulation is that some people don’t realize they take medication that has the stimulation effect such as phytoestrogen, Pueraria candollei Graham, Curcuma latifolia, coconut water, soybean. These ingredients contain estrogen. When stimulated by these, the endometrium becomes thicker and the lypos grow bigger.

You can check to see if you have received any of the stimulating factors listed above since they could be one of the factors that cause endometrial hyperplasia.

What to do before S***m preservation!

Is Bed Rest After an Embryo Transfer necessary?

The embryo transfer is an important period for every woman who is preparing to be a mother. It is also a time to take extra self care.

We know that many moms are concerned about how to act after the embryo transfer. In this article, we will tell you what you should do in the operating room after the process of embryo transfer.

After the embryo transfer process is done, the doctor will suggest that the patient take bed rest for around 15-30 minutes to let the patient feel more relaxed.

However, according to medical studies, patients do not necessarily have to take a bed rest after the transfer. Staying in bed or walking immediately does not affect the success rate of embryo transfer. Importance of FSH in Ovarian Stimulation

Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) is made by the pituitary gland located underneath the brain. FSH plays an important role in ovarian stimulation. If women have regular hormone levels, the amount of FSH should not exceed 10 mIU/ml for women of reproductive age.

When the pituitary gland releases FSH to stimulate the ovarian growth, it stimulates the small sacs called ‘follicles’. Then, when the follicles respond to FSH, they expand in size. As a result, when we do an ultrasound exam, we can see that the eggs grow bigger.

In addition, the ovarian follicle that responds most effectively to FSH stimulation is the strongest one. In a natural pregnancy, that follicle is the most qualified one as there will be only one grown ovarian follicle, which is the one that responds to FSH the most effectively.

Then, as the follicle grows, the level of estrogen, which is a female hormone, will keep increasing. Finally, the strongest egg will be ready for ovulation.

Moreover, FSH also acts as a main hormone for ovarian stimulation, choosing the best o**m, and stimulating female hormones that women of reproductive age need on a daily basis. The level of FSH varies each cycle. We can look at the FSH level on the 2nd-3rd day of the menstrual cycle.

As stated above, a usual FSH level in women of reproductive age should not exceed 10 mIU/ml. If the FSH level exceeds its normal range, it indicates that the ovarian is not functioning properly or is not responding as effectively.

A high level of FSH indicates a sign of ovarian failure as the brain needs to release more hormones to stimulate as much female hormones. Therefore, if the examination shows a high level of FSH, it suggests that the ovarian is starting to be insufficient.

Can I drink coffee during ovarian stimulation?

Can women drink coffee during ovarian stimulation? Are there any dangerous effects? Ladies who are going through the ovarian stimulation process or infertility treatment may have these questions

In fact, it is okay to drink coffee. However, it should be in a moderate amount. Normally, if you do not exceed 2 cups, it is totally fine.

Still, it also depends on the types and kinds of coffee because each coffee contains different amounts of caffeine.

How to tell if s***m is irregular

Don’t forget to take a look at your semen after ej*******on! Is your semen in a regular state?

Why do you need to observe your semen? The answer is that if you see your semen change from its usual look, it could tell that you might have male reproductive abnormalities.

You can observe your semen after ej*******on using the characteristics listed below

The color of semen – Normally, the color of s***m is grayish-white. If the color changes to green, yellow or mixed with red, one should go through the examination on infection, prostate cancer, or Jaundice.

Volume – a usual amount should exceed 1.5 ml per one ej*******on.

Thickness – Normally, at the primary ej*******ons, semen will be thick. Then, after 15-30 minutes pass, semen will get lighter and be more liquidy. If semen remains thick or is clotted after more than 30 minutes pass, it is a sign that there could be some abnormalities.

Can sterile Male/Female enter IUI program?

In fact, IUI or Intrauterine insemination is a procedure in which women take oral medication for ovarian stimulation or injection for ovarian stimulation together with selecting qualified s***m. Then, injecting s***m directly into the uterus.

For female sterilization, both fallopian tubes are cut and sealed. Therefore, when we inject s***m into the deepest area which is the uterus. S***m will move through fallopian tubes in order to fertilize.

However, there is a lack of important parts which are fallopian tubes. In explanation, s***m will not be able to move into the uterus without fallopian tubes in sterile women. Therefore, sterile women are not able to enter IUI program.

In case sterile women would like to conceive, there are 2 solutions which are to reverse sterilization or to enter ICSI program.

For male sterilization, it is a permanent birth control by cutting and sealing the tubes that carry a man’s s***m.

In fact, men can also reverse sterilization but the success rate is not high since the tubes are tiny. Even though the s***m can be collected, the s***m count will not be enough to inject into the uterus. Sterile men are not able to enter IUI program.

Therefore, apart from sterilization reversal, there is another option which is ICSI program together with PESA. This is a method in which a needle is placed directly into the epididymis. Then, collect s***m for ICSI procedure.

This method is appropriate for sterile men who wish to have babies. IVF technology is more recommended than IUI program.
