Phuket Introduces AI & Blood Test for Colorectal Cancer Screening

Bangkok Hospital Network in Phuket — including Bangkok Hospital Phuket, Bangkok Hospital Siriroj, and Dibuk Hospital — marked “Dress in Blue Day” on March 6 to raise awareness of colorectal cancer and introduce advanced screening technologies.

The initiative highlights AI-assisted colonoscopy and Liquid Biopsy (ctDNA) blood testing, helping detect cancer earlier and improve treatment outcomes.

With colorectal cancer now the second most common cancer in Thailand, experts recommend regular screening for people aged 45 and above or those with risk factors.

This initiative reflects Phuket’s growing role as a world-class medical hub, offering advanced cancer care for both Thai and international patients.

The event was organized by the Russian film promotion organization Roskino and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation under the international cultural project “Russian Seasons,” aiming to promote artistic and cultural exchange between countries. The ceremony took place on March 2, 2026.
