“เบค่อน” ถูกพามาตรวจเพราะเริ่มซึม ไม่ยอมกินอาหาร และน้ำหนักลดลงเรื่อยๆ
หลังจากทำการตรวจละเอียด ทีมสัตวแพทย์พบว่ามีการโตของต่อมน้ำเหลืองหลายตำแหน่ง
และผลตรวจยืนยันว่าเบค่อนเป็น มะเร็งต่อมน้ำเหลือง (Lymphoma)

โรคนี้เป็นหนึ่งในมะเร็งที่พบบ่อยในแมว
แต่หากตรวจพบตั้งแต่ระยะเริ่มต้น และได้รับการรักษาด้วย เคมีบำบัด (Chemotherapy) อย่างต่อเนื่อง

น้องวัวนม น้องเหล่ และน้องเฉาก๊วย โดนยาเบื่อในกลุ่มยาฆ่าแมลง เจ้าของรีบพามาพบคุณหมอด้วยอาการเหล่านี้คือ อาการ
ทางระบบประสาท
• น้ำลายไหลมากผิดปกติ (hypersalivation)
• สั่น กระตุก หรือชัก (tremor, seizure)
🫁 อาการทางระบบหายใจ
• หายใจลำบาก หายใจเร็ว
• เสียงหายใจมีเสียงฟู่หรือเสียงเสียด

ทีมหมอเลยเปิดเส้นให้น้ำเกลือ ตรวจเลือด ให้ยาต้านพิษ และดูแลอย่างใกล้ชิด อาการของเด็กๆทั้ง 3 ตัว พ้นขีดอันตราย และดีขึ้นเรื่อยๆตามลำดับ หลังจากแอดมิดครบ 3 วัน น้องๆก็หายดีกลับมาใช้ชีวิตปกติ เจ้าของมารับกลับบ้านเรียบร้อยแล้วค่ะ เป็นอีกหนึ่งรอยยิ้มและความภูมิใจของพวกเราทีมหมอและพยาบาลสัตว์โรงพยาบาลสัตว์ฮานะ

Vuanom, Lae, and Chaokuey were poisoned by insecticide toxins. Their owner rushed them to the hospital after noticing the following symptoms:

🧠 Nervous system signs
• Excessive drooling (hypersalivation)
• Tremors, muscle twitching, or seizures

🫁 Respiratory system signs
• Difficulty breathing or rapid breathing
• Abnormal breathing sounds such as wheezing or hissing
• Nasal discharge or drooling from the nose

💩 Digestive system signs
• Severe vomiting
• Diarrhea, sometimes with blood
• Loss of appetite
• Abdominal pain or crying in pain

❤️ Cardiovascular system signs
• Rapid pulse
• Low blood pressure
• Cold body or cold extremities

After taking a detailed history about the type of poison and the onset of symptoms,
the medical team immediately started intravenous fluid therapy, performed blood tests, administered antidotes, and closely monitored their condition.

All three patients gradually improved and passed the critical stage.
After three days of hospitalization, they fully recovered and were able to return to their normal lives.

Their owner happily took them home — another proud and heartwarming moment for all of us,

บางครั้ง…การคลอดเองก็ไม่ง่ายเสมอไป 🐶
ภาวะที่ลูกออกมาไม่ครบ หรือคลอดติดขัด (dystocia)
เป็นอันตรายได้ทั้งต่อแม่และลูก หากปล่อยไว้นานเกินไป

ในเคสนี้ คุณแม่สุนัขคลอดเองได้เพียง 1 ตัว
ที่เหลือต้องอาศัยการ ผ่าคลอดฉุกเฉิน
เพื่อช่วยให้ลูกๆ ทุกตัวได้ออกมาสู่โลกอย่างปลอดภัย 🩷

📌 เจ้าของสัตว์เลี้ยงควรรู้:
หากน้องหมาเบ่งเกิน 2–3 ชั่วโมง แต่ลูกไม่ออก หรือออกมาไม่ครบ → ควรรีบพบสัตวแพทย์ทันทีนะคะ

Sometimes, natural delivery isn’t easy 🐶
Dystocia — when not all puppies can be delivered —
can endanger both the mother and her puppies if left untreated.

In this case, the mother could deliver only one puppy naturally.
The rest required an emergency C-section
to ensure every puppy was safely born 🩷

น้องรูบี้มาพบคุณหมอด้วยอาการเจ็บขาหลังซ้ายอย่างรุนแรง ไม่สามารถยืนลงน้ำหนักขาได้ เลยต้องยกขาตลอดเวลา
คุณหมอจึงทำการตรวจร่างกายและพบว่าเส้นเอ็นบริเวณหัวเข่าขาด

เอ็นไขว้หน้าหัวเข่าของสุนัข (Cranial cruciate ligament) ทำหน้าที่เหมือน “เชือกที่คอยยึดข้อเข่า” ให้กระดูกต้นขา (femur) และกระดูกหน้าแข้ง (tibia) ไม่ไถลไปมา

เมื่อเอ็นเส้นนี้ ขาดหรือฉีกขาด →
• ข้อเข่าจะ หลวมและไม่มั่นคง
• เวลาเดินหรือวิ่งจะรู้สึก เจ็บและกะเผลก
• ถ้าไม่ได้รักษา อาจทำให้เกิด การเสื่อมของข้อ (ข้อเข่าเสื่อม/arthrosis) ในระยะยาว

• กระโดด/วิ่ง/เล่นแรง ๆ จนเอ็นฉีก
• น้ำหนักเกิน ทำให้ข้อเข่าแบกรับภาระมาก
• พันธุ์เสี่ยง เช่น ไซบีเรียน, ลาบราดอร์, โกลเด้น

💊 การรักษา
1. การผ่าตัด → เพื่อทำให้ข้อเข่ากลับมามั่นคง
ซึ่งการรักษาของน้องรูบี้ คุณหมอเลือกวิธีการผ่าตัดใส่เอ็นเทียม ขนาดพิเศษที่สามารถรับน้ำหนักแรงดึงที่ 250 ปอนด์
ซึ่งเพียงพอต่อน้ำหนักตัวของน้อง
2. ควบคุมน้ำหนัก → ลดแรงกดที่ข้อเข่า
3. การทำกายภาพ/พักการใช้งาน → ช่วยฟื้นฟูกล้ามเนื้อ

หลังจากที่คุณหมอทำการผ่าตัด วันรุ่งขึ้นน้องรูบี้สามารถยืนลงน้ำหนักขาได้
และวันที่ 2 หลังผ่าตัด น้องสามารถเดินลงน้ำหนักขาได้ดีขึ้นแต่ยังพบการกระเผลกอยู่บ้างค่ะ

Ruby came to see the veterinarian with severe pain in her left hind leg. She was unable to bear weight on the leg and had to keep it lifted at all times.
Upon examination, the veterinarian found that the ligament in her knee was torn.

The cranial cruciate ligament in dogs functions like a “rope that holds the knee joint together,” preventing the femur (thigh bone) and tibia (shin bone) from sliding out of place.

When this ligament ruptures or tears →
• The knee joint becomes loose and unstable
• Walking or running causes pain and limping
• If left untreated, it may lead to joint degeneration (osteoarthritis) in the long term

🔎 Common causes
• Jumping, running, or playing too roughly, leading to ligament tear
• Excess body weight that puts extra pressure on the knee
• Predisposed breeds such as Siberian Husky, Labrador, and Golden Retriever

💊 Treatment
1. Surgery → to restore knee stability
• For Ruby’s treatment, the veterinarian chose to perform surgery using a special synthetic ligament that can withstand a pulling force of 250 pounds, which is sufficient for her body weight.
2. Weight management → to reduce stress on the knee
3. Physical therapy/rest → to help rebuild muscle strength

After surgery, the next day Ruby was already able to bear weight on her leg.
By the second day post-operation, she could walk and bear weight much better, though some limping was still present.

วันนี้เชอรี่สามารถเดินได้อีกครั้งแล้ว 🐾
ไม่นานมานี้ เธอประสบอุบัติเหตุ ทำให้กระดูกขาหน้าหักอย่างรุนแรง
