Botox Vs Dysport
I had many patients scince Ive started botolium toxin ( botox ) treatment in my clinic.
I realized that there is a huge lack of information within the patients who are asking for this kind of treatment so decided to write this short article.
First of all I have to warn you that there is only two brand which are safe in the market ( Botox & Dysport ) so please be sure about the medication and ask to your physician about the brand.
The secound discussion is the difference between Botox and Dysport. What are the benefits of each brand and what are the bad side of each.
Botox is the first brand which got FDA approval in 2002 and made by USA. Dysport got that permission in 2009 and made by the UK.
Botox has local effect with less diffusion to surrounding tissues so specially in injections to sensitive areas ( eybrow depressor muscles ) the risk of ptosis (Drooping of upper eyelid ) is less than Dysport.
Dysport shows its effect in couple of days but you must be patient with Botox about two weeks time to see its effect on your face. So Botox is not suitable for inpatient persons or who have urgency ( like up coming event and etc ).
One unite of Botox is equal to 3 unites of Dysport and when you diluate one pack to 2.5 each ml of each brand has got equal effect. Over dilution of each brand will cause weak effect in the patient so please arrange a couple treatment ( as storage of an open pack is hard and time dependent ) and ask your doctor to diluate in front of you so you will be sure that the diluation done correctly.

Dear Friends
Regarding to our last post we decided to run the Care at Home project over our surgery. Now we are happy that have enogh staff to give elderly, post-operative and patients with stroke or dementia, our care service.
The care will be arranged due to individual requests and needs as daily visit of nurses, weekly visit of doctor, day time stay in nurses or 24/7 nursery with 24/7 doctor support and visits ( if needed ).
Please do not hesitate if you think that we will be helpful for you and your family.
