Feeling truly excited and proud to take part in a cadaver course as an instructor for the first time — after years of attending many training programs throughout my surgical journey

Cadaver trainings play a vital role in surgical education — especially in facelift surgery.

Together with the amazing FABCAST team, we’ll be in Izmir on November 28–29, 2025, for an intensive two-day facelift training.

Can’t wait to share knowledge, inspire, and learn from each other — united by our passion for facial surgery.

Lower eyelid surgery is a procedure with a relatively high risk of complications (such as retraction).
To minimize this risk, I prefer to use the transconjunctival fat transposition technique combined with skin pinch excision.

In this particular case, we also performed an endoscopic midface lift and endoscopic canthopexy, both of which further reduce the likelihood of complications.

Even when all available protective methods are applied, it’s important to remember that in patients with large, prominent eyes or lax lower eyelids, there is always some degree of risk for postoperative retraction.
For this reason, massage is recommended for a certain period after surgery to help prevent both internal and external eyelid retraction.

Many thanks to my lovely patient for sharing her valuable video.

Sometimes, postoperative care is just as important as the surgery itself.
We use tapes to prevent fluid accumulation between tissue layers and to limit facial movements during the healing period.
However, these tapes can sometimes adhere very strongly, so it’s important to soften them before removal.
That’s why we recommend applying a cream the day before removing them,
because if the tape is pulled off forcefully, it can separate the tissue layers again and cause swelling to increase.
Many thanks to our lovely patient for sharing this example video.

•Endoscopic Forehead Lift
•Deep Plane Face Lift
- Sometimes, even if the patient is young, there may not be a better alternative than a face lift to meet the patient’s expectations. However, performing a face lift on a young patient requires great care. First of all, it is necessary to talk to the patient thoroughly and explain the process in detail. Achieving a natural result during surgery is challenging, and it is important to minimize scars and errors as much as possible.

Endoscopic Face Lift – II
A procedure targeting the upper and midface, performed through small temporal incisions with the help of an endoscopic camera. The tissues are released and repositioned to their new anatomical place.
The duration of swelling and redness varies from patient to patient.
In this case, we also added one of my favorite procedures — transconjunctival fat transposition for the lower eyelids.
Although it may increase early postoperative swelling around the eyes and mild redness inside the eyelids, the long-term results are highly satisfying.

Endoscopic Face Lift – III
•The incisions are made within the hair in the temples and forehead, behind the ears and if necessary, under the chin.
The goal of the temporal incisions is to give the upper and midface a fresher appearance,
while the incisions just above and behind the ear are intended to enhance definition in the lower face and jawline.

Face Lift

In the early period, it is normal to have an artificial appearance due to a bit of over-lifting and swelling.
Our face is dynamic and mobile; it is not a fixed structure like bone and continues to be affected by gravity.
Therefore, in the long term, a natural appearance will certainly develop.
