An 11-month-old baby girl, Adriana, was diagnosed with liver cancer that led to liver failure in her hometown. Based on medical recommendations in Montenegro, her family decided to travel to Türkiye for treatment at Acıbadem.

A living donor liver transplant was performed, during which Adriana received a portion of her father’s liver. The surgery was carried out by an extended team led by Professor Hamdi Karakayalı, Head of the Organ Transplantation Unit at Acıbadem Atakent Hospital.

Today, one month after the operation, father and daughter are both healthy. The family is preparing to return home, grateful for a new chance at life, and ready to enjoy their days together again.
