Gastric Bypass Surgery – Pre-Op Diet suggestions
It is advised that patients begin the Pre-Op High Protein, Carbohydrate Reduced Diet before undergoing the Gastric Bypass Surgery.
It is often started 2-3 months before surgery, or as directed by the dietician.
Daily Meal Plan: Very low calorie (about 800-1200 per day), high protein (70-120 g per day) The diet also typically calls for a much lower intake of carbohydrates and dietary fat, especially refined sugars and saturated fat.

Protein Supplement (Slimfast, Soy or Milk protein powder) 2 scoops powder OR 1 bottle/can.
