✨Septorhinoplasty Recovery: What to Expect✨
First of all, the recovery takes time! 🥹 Although you see beautiful results right after the surgery, in couple of days, swelling gradually increases. I will explain you with the examples.🫶🏼
Here as you see is our beloved patient who had a septorhinoplasty surgery in September in 2025. Her healing was smooth and nice as it was expected. But as you can see that in the second picture, the swelling is still there because it was only seven days after her surgery. Meanwhile, in the first picture, she is in her 4th months of her surgery and half of her swellings are gone. 💕 Huge change! She looks absolutely gorgeous and her nose fits her face perfectly 🌸
So how it works?
✨ First Week: Rest & Early Healing
This is your main downtime. Swellings around the nose and eyes are normal and improve daily. Splints are usually removed at your follow-up visit.
✨ Weeks 2–4: Easing Back In
Swelling is still there but less noticeable. Most people return to work, school, and daily lifestyle, just continue being gentle with your nose.
🌼 Months 1–3: Noticeable Changes
Upper part of the swelling goes down, and your nose starts to show a more shape specially on the radix (root part of your nose) Breathing often improves as internal swelling settles.
🌟 Months 6–12: Final Results
After 6 months, the dorsum starts to be more defined. Subtle swelling continues to fade, and small contour changes become more defined. Full healing can take up to a year. Especially for the tip part of the nose.
For your information if you have thicker skin, or if you had a rhinoplasty previously, then the healing even can take up to 1 years and half.
