NW500 Clinical Case Images: Mixed AMD

In this case, follow-up showed progression of the atrophy with a greater decline in visual acuity in the left eye (VA OS: 0.1) compared with the right eye (VA OD: 0.3). In this case, true-colour fundus imaging provides clear visualisation of the extent of atrophy.

NW500 Clinical Case Images: Proliferative Diabetic Retinpoathy

In this case, the NW500 was used to image a patient diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of eight. Over time, this led to the development of proliferative diabetic retinopathy in the right eye, which was treated with panretinal photocoagulation (PRP). The patient also developed diabetic macular oedema, which subsequently regressed following focal laser therapy.

The first case image showcases the NW500 Mosaic function (5 fields), while the second shows a zoomed in image of the macular region – PDR – OD.
